It’s always fun to try new products, especially when you view the products online, and see thousands of online reviews. You simply can’t resist right?! I like many of you HAD to try them. I was in the market for new sheets, luxury Sheets is something I should totally have in my life, after all, we do spend 1/3 of our lives in bed! Well it is Fall time and a good time to change our sheets.
I am writing about Brooklinen, a “direct-to-consumer” company that’s making high-end bedding at a reasonable price. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to purchase the sheets online. They come in a variety of patterns and colors and collections. I myself, am an “all white sheet” kind of gal, but I could not resist the stripes and chose the Luxe Core Sheet Set which included 1 flat sheet, 1 fitted sheet, and 2 pillowcases. There are many different options, but these fit my needs and were in my price range.
Right off the bat I was given a discount code which I applied at checkout, and received free shipping. I believe the sheets arrived within a week, and were on time, which I appreciate! I received numerous emails from the company letting me know where the product was in process, and when they should arrive. They notified me as soon as they shipped as well.
As soon as the product arrived, I opened up the super cute packaging! I love the Brooklinen Bag, all the sheets fit perfectly inside. The website does say to wash before use, which is what I did. The sheets seemed very stiff to me, and I love a very SOFT sheet. I washed them which did help a little bit. The website says these particular sheets are slightly heavier and softer than their Classic Line. The Luxe Core Sheet set has a 480 thread count, and seem like they will hold up for a long time.
Brooklinen sets a great tone with the arrival of the sheets. They come in a nice box, tucked away in a tote bag. Obviously the quality of the sheet matters most, but the box shows they are definitely aware of the importance of the small touches.
After sleeping in the sheets for a week now, here are my thoughts. For one, these are very crisp, clean feeling sheets. They actually stay pretty cool to touch. I was very pleased with that. I can tell that this set will hold up, and last longer than my previous purchase. The reason I was in the market for a new sheet set was because our older ones were worn down. I see Brooklinen’s lasting a very long time. The company is great with returns, they do allow you to try the sheets for 60 days. I don’t plan on returning mine at all.
Brooklinen also sells comforters and pillows, along with other sheet collections! I am going to be looking into purchasing a comforter from them in the next 6 months, and will keep you updated on this as well! Let me know if you give them a try, I would love to hear your opinion on these Luxury Sheets!
One of my favorite aspects of Brooklinen’s product line is the super simplistic product offering – the sheets are available in white and gray, and can either be striped, windowpane, or solid. All of the options are very handsome in a minimalistic sort of way, and would make mixing and matching a breeze. Brooklinen also carries comforters and some wonderful blankets from Pendleton, an Oregon company that is very dear to my heart.
Core sets of Brooklinen’s classic sheets start at $99, and the hardcore bundles start at $164. So if you’re like I was and have been using the same set of sheets since college, consider giving yourself an affordable upgrade with Brooklinen. I’m already planning on ordering another set, and fortunately I can do that from the comfort of the sheets I already own.
Some things to note before you make your decision:
- The fitted sheet easily fit my 11” mattress. They claim it can fit up to a 15” mattress, and from what I can tell, that appears to be true.
- The sheets soften after washing them each time.
- The buttons on the duvet cover were a bit small and hard for me to handle, but ultimately made them much less visible than other duvet covers I tried.
- The duvet cover also has ties in the corners so that the insert does not slide around.
- The pillow cases have a great flap design that keeps the pillows in their place.
The sheets I got felt great, and I think it’s a really compelling offering considering the price. I would recommend to think hard about the type of feel you like to make sure you know whether you should get the Classic or the Luxe. Either way, I think Brooklinen is a great option for someone looking for luxury sheets without breaking the bank.
The AM to PM Candle Set is also a total treat to spark during your most relaxing moments. These four 3.5-ounce votives are each filled with soy wax, and their scents are both transportive and soothing. “Wake” evokes the smell of ocean spray, “Afternoon Delight” is reminiscent of a stroll through a tomato farmhouse, “Magic Hour” is a romantic whiff of a sunlit rose garden, and “Nightcap” muddles the aromas of bourbon and blood orange together. Altogether, this collection makes up one dreamy day.
If you are looking for new sheets for the Fall or for the Holidays to use in your room or your guest rooms. This is the perfect alternative. Your guests are going to feel like they are staying in a top hotel.
