Get Ready for Spring with Fiskars Products

I can’t wait for Spring to be here. When I begin to think about Spring I begin to think about my yard and how to better take care of it. Recently, I got a chance to talk to the representatives of Fiskars to help figure out what would be the best tools to keep my yard in shape and make it easy for me to do on my own.

Deluxe Stand-up Weeder

 

Fiskars has a creative and useful upright weeder. Constructed of four stainless steel serrated claws and ultra lightweight aluminum handle, the tool has an added feature that the others do not an ejector. It works by positioning the claws over the weed, stepping on a foot pad to insert the claws into the ground, and bending the handle back to push out the weed. This tool holds onto the pulled weed until you slide the ejection mechanism down to force the weed out into your collection container. There is absolutely no bending over with this tool, not event to pick up the pulled weed. It works well when the soil is moist after rain. I also love that this is recommended by the Arthritis Foundation. I also love this tool because I am small and need something that is easy to use, this worked perfectly.

StaySharp Max Reel Mower

Mowing the lawn is a difficult task for me. I can’t use a gas-powered mower because it is too hard for me to control. I was so glad that I got a chance to try the StaySharp Max Reel Mower. Having to cut the grass weekly, is a tough job so anything that can make it easier would be an asset. I know everyone has said get a gas powered one but I really wanted to try and push mower since it would give me more control. The setup was easy and fast, first positive. The StaySharp Max Reel Mower uses super durable steel blades that cut grass without touching each other. This mower is very quiet and means no annual sharpening of the blades like many real mowers. If you are concerned about it being too difficult to push it is not, along with the blades not touching, they have the only reel mower with adjustable blade height to change depending on how tall your grass is.

I am always on the lookout for new, environmentally-friendly products. There are so many products out there that are labeled “green”, “natural”, and “environmentally-friendly” and it is sad that these products are not regulated.

When I was first invited to this event, I was excited to see these products and find out more about the brand. I picked up the packages, and read through them, sniffed the bottles and checked all of the scents. I spoke to the creators and got their sense of the products. Wen Live Clean gave me the chance to review the line, I was more than happy to do it. Live Clean is a Canadian Company that was founded in 2006, with the simple vision-To create high performance skin and hair care products that celebrated natural beauty while honoring the earth.

When I got a chance to try the products I found that they left you feeling very clean. It was easy to lather up and left no redness or irritation. I loved that it is made from 99% plant ingredients, SLS and sulfate free, paraben free and preservative free, hypoallergenic and pediatrician tested.

I love creams and lotions. The Live Clean baby lotion is 98% plant based, including extracts from Chamomile, Lavender and Aloe. The lotion absorbs quickly and left my skin feeling totally hydrated and cool with a gentle scent that reminded me of baby powder. I loved it because if you trouble from eczema it helped.

Nintendo Switch Set to Debut 3/3/17 – #Nintendoswitch

Last week I was invited to a Nintendo Switch event where we were the first to test out the new console. The Nintendo Switch hits stores on March 3, 2017.

When we walked in the Nintendo NY at Rockefeller Center it was filled with video games. We got a chance to test out Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and other games. The console looks great and it is easy to take around with you to use in the car or when you are traveling. The cost is only $299. The battery life can last more than six hours depending on the software and usage conditions. It has 32GB of internal memory. Users can easily expand storage space using microSDHC or microSDXC cards. It has 6.2 inch, multi-touch capacitive touch screen. It can display a resolution of 1280 x 720. Keep the focus on fun by using parental controls to manage how your family interacts with Nintendo Switch. Link up to eight systems together to play anywhere.

This game launches on March 3. We can’t wait for this one. The event was great and we really enjoyed it. I am super excited for the launch.
