Hallmark Channel When Call The Heart Series-Season 2

If you are a fan of the Hallmark Channel then you know that this Saturday, April 25, 2015, is the season two premier of When Calls The Heart.

“When Calls the Heart” tells the captivating story of Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a young teacher accustomed to her high society life, who receives her first classroom assignment in Coal Valley, a small coalmining town where life is simple, but often fraught with challenges. Lori Loughlin plays Abigail Stanton, a wife and mother whose husband, the foreman of the mine, along with a dozen other miners, has just been killed in an explosion. The newly widowed women find their faith is tested when they must go to work in the mines to keep a roof over their heads. Elizabeth charms most everyone in Coal Valley, except Constable Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing) who believes Thatcher’s wealthy father has doomed the lawman’s career by insisting he be assigned in town to protect the shipping magnate’s daughter. Living in a turn of the century coal town, Elizabeth will have to learn the ways of the frontier if she wishes to thrive in the rural west on her own.

The series is inspired by Janette Oke’s bestselling book series about the Canadian West.

PlaSmart-Toy Fair Part 14 of Series

I recently got the opportunity to review two items from PlaSmart. I was sent the Wonky Wheels Car and the Happyville Smart Mat.

The Wonky Wheels was blue with a white stripe. The Wonky Wheels takes the fun of cars to a different level, when you start to move it it wobbles and rotates. So every time your child plays with it they are having tons of fun. I also learned that it helps with hand and eye coordination. As they move it around and try to get it to go where they want it to. This item is fun for boys and girls and is vrey durable.

When I got the Happyville Smart Foam Play Mat. I was stunned by it. First it came in a big brown cylinder canister, and I was like what is this. The mat is so colorful and bright. It is very eye-catching and has a very colorful city scene. The foam on the mat is thick enough and will be comfortable for knees, feet and your hands while playing on it. The bottom of the mat gripped to the floor so you don’t have to worry about it sliding around.

The roads on the mat are so much fun it fits every size car and truck. There are so many places to visit on the mat that it will keep your children occupied for hours. It is also durable and easy to clean.

These are two toys that I think would make excellent gifts.
