When shopping for products I am always looking for eco-friendly, sustainable, and fair trade brands. I recently discovered a brand LastObject with their item LastSwab.
LastSwab is a cotton swab alternative. These are eco-friendly, sustainable, and easy and affordable switch to make. This little item costs only $12 each but will replace around 1,000 single-use cotton swabs. LastSwabs come in lots of different colors to choose from.
There are 2 different types of swabs available. One of them is for general use and is a bobble texture on both sides. The other one is a beauty swab for makeup and this is smooth and one side comes to a point. This one is to help clear up any makeup mistakes or use it with mascara or eyeliner.
These cotton swab alternatives are reusable and super easy to clean. You simply wash them with warm water and soap.
The website states the following about these swabs.
“The swab ends are TPE, the rod is plastic, and the case is PLA which is made of corn and is biodegradable. When creating a product to last for thousands of uses, durability is key. LastSwab replaces thousands of single-use cotton swabs. Even if LastSwab does end up in the ocean, it’s damage is less than 0.1% of its single-use counterparts, simply because there will be much less of them.”
You should buy LastSwab if you use single-use cotton swabs for any needs, either cleaning your ears or for makeup application. These are affordable, lightweight, eco-friendly, sustainable, great for travel and, minimalists and generally, a great item to invest in. You can use these at least 1,000 times which means you are fighting against single-use products.
