Aloha Organic Soap-Vegan Dishwashing Starter Kit

During the last few months that I have been home, I have been looking for new natural ways to clean in the house. I discovered the Aloha Organic Soap brand. The brand is all about natural clean care, loving each other, and respecting mother nature. The products are hand-made and are all bio-degradable and go right back into the earth to cycle its way back through the natural process.

They started by first using filtered rainwater for the soaps and noticed that gave a much better later and provided a better clean while being softer on the skin. They are currently working on saltwater soaps using water fright from the crystal clear beaches of Waimanalo, Oahu.

Currently, in a 50K square feet, FDA approved facility they can make more soaps. Everything is always done by hand. The brand focuses on hiring single mothers, as the founder is and teaching new skills that provide opportunities for them to provide a better living situation for those that depend on them.

The goal of the company is to open a child care center inside and space for youth to be comfortable and enjoy each other while waiting for their mom at work. What a wonderful idea?

The company’s future includes producing more natural home care cleaning solutions like laundry care. Then adding more products, like pet care, home care, and bath products.

One of the products that I was intrigued by was the vegan dishwashing kit. This is  100% organic  coconut oil known for its superior cleansing properties by stripping away oil and dirt from surfaces. For greasy pots and pans, our activated organic charcoal dishwashing soaps have toxin absorbing and antibacterial properties. It absorbed and binds to grease and harmful microbial so they could be flushed down the drain.

It was easy for me to transition from my liquid soap to the bar. It was great at removing grease and did well in washing my dishes. I love to hand wash everything so it was also soft on my hands. I love the little brush that comes with it. These also make great gifts for the holidays.

 

 

 

Introducing Mer Sea “Lovecycle” Collection

I have recently discovered the Mer Sea & Co. brand and fell in love with their classy line of clothing. Their new Lovecycled Collection is rich and beautiful and is probably one of the most gorgeous pieces that will get you into the fall spirit.

The founders of Mer-Sea have created one of the most beautiful lines of bath, body, and travel products that we have ever come across. Inspired by the call of the sea, their collections invoke a truly peaceful, soulful feeling and I absolutely love what they do!

This new fall collection with yarns created from discarded plastic water bottles. Soft, luxurious, and fittingly named the “Lovecycled Collection,” the pieces are sized and structured beyond traditional loungewear. Once it turned cool last week, I decided to throw on these pieces and head out to get my fall mums. I felt so comfortable and inspired to walk around and enjoy the weather. I also loved that I would wear these pieces during my zoom calls.

Mer Sea is not new to the sustainability space, having created a series of bags made from recycled mop heads and plastics in past years. However, this is the brand’s first foray into creating wearable materials from products that would otherwise go to waste, and we don’t just love a company that helps the environment.

Melanie Bolin, co-founder of Mer Sea stated, “we coined the term “Lovecycled” to indicate the process of caring and repurposing old materials into new ones as part of continuing life-cycle for our children’s future. Because of our obvious love and concern for the sea, we felt that increasing our focus on making sustainable products simply made sense for us.”

Lina Dickinson, her co-founder agrees, adding, “Our industry needs to view sustainability beyond a trend-it is an obligation. We are thrilled to create this super soft and luxurious looking lounge and travel wear from something that was once considered trash. Its easy-care is a bonus. We are excited for the future of recycled materials.”

I love that with a few minor touches, any of these pieces can be tailored to fit the change of seasons. Plus, they are so comfortable. If you want to make your first purchase and try out the brand, check out the travel wraps. You can wear them when we return to the office, on a plane, going out at night. Then just pop it in the washer and dryer.  Once you try this piece you will get hooked on the brand.

Neutrogena Helps Move Your Skin Routine to Fall

I am always trying to improve my skin routine and one thing that I was missing was a toner. A toner is water, alcohol, or gel-based liquid that is, first and foremost, used to balance your skin’s pH levels after you cleanse with your normal face wash. Why do you need this extra step? After you use your regular cleanser, your face becomes more alkaline, which makes it more prone to damage and inflammation. Using a toner balances your skin again.

Everyone can and should use a toner that is right for their skin type. It’s a common misconception that toners are only for oily skin or for people with acne. This notion likely came about because western toners tend to be alcohol-based and very drying.  However, a toner’s main purpose is to re-balance your skin after cleansing.

After you wash your face with a cleanser, apply a few drops of toner to a cotton pad or your bare fingertips, and gently apply all over your face. Let it soak in, and then follow with your essence, serum, or face cream.

Choosing the right toner is half the battle. Your perfect toner will depend on your skin type and skin goals.

Pore Refining Face Toner with Witch Hazel

This Alpha and Beta Hydroxy skin toner is dermatologist-tested to deliver visible results. It first, sweeps away dead surface skin and soothes rough, uneven patches. Then, it penetrates deep down to clogged pores to visibly reduce their appearance for clearer looking skin. The smell is wonderful and the  toner is not harsh on my skin. This product has made a big difference in my skin, it has made my pores appear much smaller and my skin much smoother.

Alcohol-Free Toner
