Eco Swim line

Well with Memorial Day behind us, it is the official kick off to Summer and swimsuit season. I recently attended an event with Eco Swim and got a glimpse at the new line

ECO SWIM by Aqua Green is where sustainability meets cutting edge design in the swim industry. Aqua Green’s mission is to demonstrate leadership in style while providing fashionable, excellent quality and planet friendly products for the conscious consumer.

They are doing so by using recycled material for their swimsuits, as well as taking extra steps in their production process to reduce waste, such as banning Styrofoam and recycling of materials like paper and plastic.

While keeping up with Eco-friendly practices they have succeeded in designing chic swimsuits that are amazingly flattering to the ladies who wear them. The swimsuits come in a variety of neutral shades and other colors. They feature multiple shapes to flatter a variety of different sizes. The best part of the swimsuits are not only are they beautiful but made of recycled material such as Repreve Nylon and Eco Cell Foam, purchased from long term fabric suppliers as part of the company’s Aqua Green initiative.

Lowe’s & HGTV Home by Sherwin Williams

I was lucky enough to be able to attend the launch event of the HGTV Home by Sherwin Williams paint line that is now sold at Lowe’s.

When I attended the event and heard from Sherwin Williams, Lowe’s and Jillian Harris of HGTV’s Love It or List It Too. They showed us around the studio and talked to us about making design and paint.

This is the first time in over 40 years that Sherwin Williams paint has been sold outside of their own stores. You will get the Sherwin Williams quality, sold at a very convenient and trusted store and HGTV has put together collection of colors based on certain themes that you can essentially use to paint your entire house without fear that the colors would not coordinate.

Women spend a ton of time deciding on paint colors, with the 16 different room collections, 8 of which are exclusive to Lowe’s, you can easily understand which colors go together.

There were three rooms set up each based on a theme from the color collections and they showed us how different colors all work together and what they can look like in a cohesive space.

Jackie from Lowe’s talked to us about the partnership from there perspective and the excitement around having the paint in there stores.

While there I just had to get a photo with Jillian, who was so sweet and gracious with her time.

I also got a chance to paint a wall of the studio and see what it would look it.

I am so excited about this color collection and the design network and now some great news.

Baby Bjorn Carrier One-Momtrends Event

At a recent Momtrends event, I got to speak to the representative from Baby Bjorn and could not wait to talk about this product

The one carrier is the latest carrier on the market by Baby Bjorn. It is the ideal for those wanting an ergonomic baby carrier that is easy to use, and provides comfort for both baby and the parent.

The Baby Bjorn One is a multifunctional front and back carrier that offers four carrying positions. The Optimal newborn position allows you to carry your newborn high up on your chest, close to your heart. The inward-facing comfort position is ergonomically designed to be comfortable for you are your growing baby. The Outward-facing position allows you to explore the world together when your child is ready, and finally the Easy back carrying position that allows you to place your toddler on your back by yourself in one safe motion once they are over the age of one.

The carrier achieves these four special positions by using a special zipper system that allows the carrier to be altered to accommodate newborns and small children as well as bigger babies and toddlers which eliminates the need to have an additional removal newborn insert or an entirely different carrier for the newborn stage.

There is also a leg zipper that allows a natural leg position for newborns facing inward and for children 5 months and older in an outward facing position and a normal wide leg position for babies 4-36 months. Not many carriers offer these nice adjustments to accommodate baby’s growth and comfort.

I was really impressed by the overall design of the carrier. Baby Bjorn boasts that the One Carrier was designed along with pediatricians, encouraging baby’s safety, health and comfort, which is an attractive feature.

A great feature is how easy it is to get baby into the carrier, while the carrier is on. The Baby Bjorn One simply slips over your head then you reach around the back and fasten your hip clip then simply slip baby in. Finally you clip the two front clips to secure baby.

The straps are easy to adjust how high baby sits on you.
