When I begin to think of the holidays. The first thing that comes to my mind is my Holiday at Play event. It is an event that shows us bloggers the hottest toys to share in our holiday gift guides. This year, things looked a bit different. The Toy Insider had to adjust and turn this event into a virtual one. It was done in a great way and I want to say thank you everyone who worked hard to put it together. While I missed seeing everyone in person, I still felt like I was there just through a computer screen.
We could updates as the event approached, when it was time for the event to begin, it started with a greeting and introduction. There was an entire schedule of events, that we had beforehand to guide us from one booth to another. It also let us know when brands were doing special unboxing events. Each booth felt realistic and was decorated with banners and holiday decoration. It quickly got me into the holiday spirit.
We were presented with a floor plan so we knew the location of all the booths. Once you arrived at the booth, you had a few options. You could click on a few videos to get an idea of the products available or go to the links provided to visit websites and social media of the brand. This way you could interact with the booth representative directly, either via chat or by clicking on their Zoom. I love the Zoom meetings because we got to see other bloggers who were in the room with us and representatives talk enthusiastically about their products.
Now for the best part of the event the Holiday of Play had toys for kids of all ages. It was great to see all the brands with the products that will be a hit this season. I can’t wait to share these toys with you in my holiday gift guide.
