I was lucky to attend this event hosted by the Moms and Burlington to discuss Wendy Williams’s new book Hold Me In Contempt. This book is a romance novel, with a hint of getting things a little out of hand. It’s center character is Kimberly Kind is a successful, beautiful, smart lawyer, she’s finally finding direction in her life and getting out of the streets. But a terrible accident threatens to throw her carefully laid plans off course. Enter King, the man is all sex and has more swagger than anyone Kim’s ever met. The chemistry between them is so intense it takes them both by surprise. I am so looking forward to reading this book.
Wendy also took time out to answer some questions from the bloggers that were in attendance. She said that this book reminds her of the novels she likes to read like ones by Judy Collins, who she loves. Wendy also has a little section in her home with books that are signed by the authors. She told us that during this time her writing partner and her spent a lot of time organizing thoughts and setting time aside to make sure they could take. She writes better when it is sunny and in the afternoon. She also recommended that you find a writing partner who not a friend and can be honest with you. Also a good hint for us women that we should look out for one another and give each other advice when needed.
It was a fun night at Hudson Bond and I was so glad to participate in it.
