Innovative Beauty Products from Holly Houx

I was recently introduced to the Holly Houx brand, and I was super excited to try their new line of healthy and innovative beauty products. The philosophy behind the company is to create products that genuinely help your skin’s health and truly enhance its beauty with natural ingredients.

Holly Houx’s products include their exclusive Reversaline skincare line, a clean and cruelty-free family of pre-cleansers, toner, and skin-boosting serums. I was super excited to try some of their products.

Eye Zone Treatment

I am always on the hunt for any product that will help my eyes.  I find a lot of treatments irritated my sensitive eyes more than helping. This treatment however gently absorbs into the delicate area under the eye and provides instant moisturizing. It makes that fragile eye zone area firm and resilient The treatment is formulated with peptides and a triple slow-aging hyaluronic acid and amino acid complex to help skin retain moisture deep from within. I am surprised that I have actually begun to see some resilience under my eyes. I really wish I had found it sooner.

Cool Liquid Cushion

 

This was a very interesting product and a unique one. It has become my fast favorite this summer. The refreshing cushion taps on instantly cool skin, and whisks away sweat, and shine. To use, remove the “puff” that comes with the compact. Next, life up the cover on the compact to expose the spongy part on the bottom of the compact. Then tap the puff on the spongy part so that the liquid inside the sponge gets on to the puff. The next step is to tap the puff all over your face.

The product leaves a cooling sensation on your skin, which is very refreshing. It feels really nice on your skin (refreshing) and I used it on my face without any make-up.  I apply it to my face and nothing more.  With the Cool Liquid Cushion product, I can tap it on my face, apply a little mascara, and go.

Refresher Mist Set

During the summer, I love to use a mist on my face to give me extra hydration. Each Refresher Mist is a different scent and gives off a different “vibe”. A spritz of this anti-inflammatory formula helps calm, and soothe skin, controls oil and soothes skin’s surface. The box came with five bottles.

The sprays smell true to their name. The Rose does smell like roses. The Green Tea smells like green tea. The Lavender one is awesome as I use it at night to calm me down before bed. These mists are easy to use. Simply close your eyes and spritz a couple of pumps of spray onto your face. It’s that easy. You could even spritz the mists on your body if you’d like. The mists all have benefits that are great for our skin including antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, and improving the signs of aging. All of the mists serve a different “purpose.” That is why the gift set with all five scents is a great option. That way you can try them all to find out which are your favorites.

Cetaphil’s new collection deeply replenishes skin’s hydration for 48 hours and hits all the right notes for dry, thirsty skin like mine. Olay New Body Care Products

Olay Body has rolled out three new premium body care collections, including two new wash-off formulations featuring retinol.

The new launches—Olay Cleansing & Renewing Body Care Duo with Retinol, Olay Premium Exfoliating Body Wash Collection, and the Olay Dermatologist Designed Collection—were designed by dermatologists with dermatologist-recommended ingredients to address specific dry skin concerns.

The Cleansing & Renewing Body Care Duo, which Olay recommends using at night, includes Retinol Body Wash, which is said to improve the skin three times better than the leading body wash. The Rinse-Off Body Conditioner with retinol is a sheer conditioner that provides concentrated moisture that works overnight to help stop dry skin before it starts.

The Exfoliating Body Wash Collection features three body wash products  for daily use, each with unique components—Moisturizing with Sugar & Cocoa Butter; Hydrating with Deep Sea Minerals & Coconut Water and­­ Revitalizing with Himalayan Salt & Pink Grapefruit.

This collection targets itchy dry skin, rough dry skin, and eczema-prone skin with products that are free from parabens, dyes, and soap. The body washes are approved by the Skin Health Alliance, and the body wash for eczema-prone skin has also been awarded the Seal of Acceptance from the National Eczema Association. In addition to three washes, the range includes a Rinse-Off Body Conditioner for Rough Dry Skin with Cocoa Butter.
