I have always believed that good dressing should be simple. I like to look good without having to search through my closet. A matching set is always great because you can mix and match pieces.

It was founded by Lili Chemla, the brand’s classic pieces are made locally in Los Angeles. The principle idea is that one should never sacrifice comfort for style. Le Set delivers both at an accessible price point.

I instantly fell in love with this Lori Stripe Crewneck. You can not believe how soft this is. They just dropped their Spring/Summer collection and you will love all they have to offer and the colors just speak to you. These pieces are also perfect for traveling.  These are the pieces that you can wear on the plane then go straight from the airport to an event or a meeting.

 

 

 

Perfect Pieces by Planet by Lauren G

The weather here has been crazy, one day it is cool the next day it is warm. I keep looking for transitional pieces. I was so happy to find Planet.  The palette consists of soft hues of natural elements, such as sea, fog, putty, and lots of white on white. The silhouettes are soft and flowing. The shapes are Japanese-inspired, which are loose and away from the body. Together the fabrics and the body style enhance everyone’s figure. This line of clothing is size-less, season-less, and age-less. Comfort along with style is synonymous with Planet

I was thrilled to speak with Vice President, Lisa Attea, about the brand and its future.

Why is the brand called Planet?

We always use natural fabrics from the earth or the planet. Our color palette is always using terms that are from the earth and elements of the earth, like the sky, midnight, and ocean.

Have you been focusing on sustainability for a long time?

It’s what the brand was based on. People who follow the brand will say they have had a sweater for 15 years and it still looks fresh. Nothing ever goes out of style. It’s edgy enough that the chic is always in. You can pick out pieces to go along with looks you already have to build a wardrobe. That’s what my women like

What’s new with Planet?

We have our current collection out in stores, and it’s selling out! We’re starting to ship our Fall collection. Planet has never stopped! Even though the pandemic. It seems like this is the kind of clothing that people wanted. The Pima cotton T-shirts, the casual French terry, and the sweater knits were pandemic wear. We used to call it travel wear, but we switched the name and called it to couch couture.

Why do you think you prevailed during the pandemic?

My fabrication went from what we used to call travel clothes to couch couture. Career women were wearing our looks because they don’t wrinkle; they’re machine-washable, and they’re great for Zoom meetings. Women still like fashion and love the high-quality fabric, and the pieces last for years.

You’ve said to us in the past that you want to bring Planet to the moon and back. Is that your motto?

It is! I believe that the collection is spot on, all the time. It’s not trendy. It’s edgy. It’s every day for every woman. I’d like to see it everywhere on everyone!

One of the best parts of living in the South is that the temperature really doesn’t get that cold. However, they are days when we dip down into the ’30s. This is why I am so happy that I have pj’s that can be used during these temperatures.

Who does not love a brand that gives back? Emerson Road also partnered with Project Glimmer. The Project Glimmer Organization is dedicated to inspiring every girl to envision and realize her empowered future. Project Glimmer is a national nonprofit organization that has served over 700,000 teenage girls and women in all 50 states through partnerships. Alongside Project Glimmer, it’s Emerson Road’s mission to help build confidence in thousands of young women and inspire future generations of women to believe in themselves. As a part of this effort, we will be donating PJ sets to Project Glimmer’s Social Supply Chain for Good, which is transformed into meaningful gifts and essential goods for young  girls from foster care, low-income, youth services and more. In the future we plan to expand our brand through social media, have a few pop-up shops and meet our loyal customers, and continue to work with other organizations/brands whose mission aligns with Emerson Road’s while still creating the softest and cutest pajamas! 

I got the Fuzzyluxe Waffle Button Front Hoodie and Pant.  These are so cozy and comfortable. They will be great for getting you through the rest of the winter. They are also great for running errands as they look like loungewear.
