Well summer has finally come to the East Coast and that means it is time to get outside enjoy the summer and go swimming. We love being outside and have some fun, so it was time to pack our bags and head outdoors.  I made sure to pack drinks, snacks, and my favorite chemical free mineral based sunscreen.

Starting with Sunscreen
I hated wearing sunscreen and I have tried a lot of them but they all had a bad chemical smell and it made my skin itch so I only wore it when I went swimming as that was the only time my skin would burn.  A few years ago, I then learned about all the chemicals that were in sunscreen and how dangerous they could be for my skin and body. I was left to wonder how to protect my skin without the use of all these chemicals.

When  learned about a mineral based sunscreen a couple of years ago that was made without dangerous chemicals. This was great news that would mean that I would not have to puts on my skin when we were out in the sun. The best part was that our skin was protected and did not burn! We had finally found the sunscreen that worked.

I spray Goddess Garden on the skin, no more having to wait those long 20 minutes that traditional sunscreens require. Chemical sunscreens contain chemicals like avobenzone that break down in the sun and require not-so-safe ingredients as stabilizers and sometimes even plastic? Natural mineral sunscreens are immediately effective and stay that way—no liquid plastics or toxins required.

Mineral sunscreens are great for those with sensitive skin. Everyone in the family has sensitive skin. We can use Goddess Garden and do not suffer from any rashes since natural minerals reflect the UV rays and aren’t absorbed into the skin, they are much less likely to cause irritation.

The main ingredient in Goddess Garden is Zinc Oxide which provides natural broad-spectrum protection from both UVB (burning) rays, as well as the UVA (aging and damaging) rays. Most chemical sunscreens only protect against UVB and not UVA so check those labels. I love that my boys can relax in the sun and not have to worry about the burning rays of the sun harming them.
