No matter which team you are rooting for this Super Bowl, one thing everyone can agree to root for is a great game day spread. Food Network star Sunny Anderson has curated some of her favorite game-day tips and is sharing her personal playbook for scoring a touchdown with your game-day nosh.

 When it comes to game day  snacking, Sunny suggests creating a snack stadium using a real sour cream dip and some of your favorite dippables. If you can’t be there in Houston, why not bring the stadium to you? And no, you don’t need to be a contractor or have a culinary degree to build a snack stadium—use items already in your home, such as a roasting pan, an aluminum pan, and desk organizers!

 A few more tips from Sunny:

·          “Don’t make the dip, buy it. Your supermarket will sell a fresh dip in the diary aisle, like Heluva Good! When I buy dips, it’s the typical flavors—French Onion, Buttermilk Ranch, or something bold like Bacon Horseradish.”

·         “Keep your snack stadium simple. The flavors your guests are expecting never disappoint. Game day is about classic American fare—the burgers, hot dogs, the wings, the chips and dip.”

Here is Sunny Anderson’s personal Big Game Playbook. Use this as a way to navigate the off the field kitchen game, ensuring your guests don’t end up in a food comma by halftime and are out the door as soon as the game ends!

 ·         Pre-Game:  Pre-game is all about hand foods.  Have a snack stadium that is filled with an assortment of your favorite dippables, including chips, pretzel sticks, and some crudité.

·         Quarters 1 & 2: As you’re working into the first and second quarter, continue serving your chips and dip, but you can start bringing out your hoagies, wings, and tiny hand sandwiches.

·         Halftime: When you get to halftime, that’s when you bring out the big guns—order your favorite pizza, or serve your chili or whatever is in the slow cooker.

·         Quarters 3 & 4: When we get back into the third and fourth quarter, that’s when you revert back to the snack stadium and replenish it with fresh chips and dip and warm snackables.

·         How to Politely End the Party: Hold all the sweets until the 2-minute warning in the fourth quarter. Put them all out and brew some fresh coffee.  The smell of coffee and the sweets will politely denote the end of the party to all your guests. If they partied too hard and have to call out sick on Monday, it won’t be your fault.
