CHARM IT! Teams up With Crayola

On Saturday, April 18, 2015, CHARM IT! and Crayola held an event at Dylan’s Candy Bar. The Event was held to encourage children to design and create their very own one-of-a kind charm and enter it into the CHARM IT! Crayola Creativity Design-A-Charm contest.

The afternoon’s main objective was a CHARM IT! and Crayola Design-A-Charm contest, in which kids, ages 14 and under, draw a charm on their official entry forms that they would love to see become a CHARM IT! charm in the collection. This is a great way for your child to explore its creative imagination. Each child needs an outlet to show what they can do, and this contest gives them a chance to express themselves.

Your child can have a chance to enter the contest too. Here are the answers to some typical questions regarding the contest.

How do I get an Official Entry Form and Contest Rules
The official entry form with contest rules are available on www.shopcharm-it.com and at participating retailers.

Does the Design have to be drawn on the Official Entry Form
Yes, in order for entry to be considered, each design must be drawn on the Official Entry Form with the required information filled in. Please note a parent or legal guardian signature must be included with the entry form. You can submit more than one design, however each entry must be drawn on the Official Entry Form. You are allowed to use crayons, colored pencils, markers, and other materials.

How can I submit my entry form
Every entry must be emailed to contests@highintensity.com with the subject “CHARM IT! Crayola Creativity Contest” or mail it to:

When are the entry forms due
Emailed entry forms must be received on or before May 6, 2015 12pm EST. Mailed entry forms must be postmarked on or before May 6, 2015.

How will the winners be selected?
Entries will be judged based upon the following criteria (a) design’s ability to be reproduced as a CHARM IT! charm (50%), (b) creative appeal of design and colors (25%), and (c) uniqueness of design (25%). Twelve winners will be selected and announced on May 20,2015. Each winner will receive the awesome title of CHARM IT! Guest Designer and have their charm design produced and sold nationwide, and receive a $100 USD gift certificate to www.shopcharm-it.com and a single $1,500 USD donation of Crayola product will be made to the Kids in Need Foundation in honor of the winners by Crayola.

Toy Fair 2014-Crayola Rolls Out New Products

While I was not able to attend the 2014 Toy Fair in New York. Thanks to Crayola, I was able to review the press releases for some of Crayola’s new innovative products. These new products allow kids to get the joy and experience out of color and being creative. Crayola is all about providing kids with the highest quality products that help to empower the creativity of children.

Here are some of the products that your kids are going to be asking you to get for them.

Crayola Paint Maker- This encourages kids to take creative control by making their very own paints in unique colors. The new customization tool allows kids to mix and shake their own washable paint colors. The kit makes 15 paint pots and uses a new paint strip technology to reduce mess.

Crayola Virtual Fashion Show

On Tuesday February 4, 2014, I was invited by Vera Sweeney and Audrey McClelland to attend an event with Crayola to launch their new Crayola Virtual Fashion Show product and application. This event was held in New York City at Dylan’s Candy Bar.

This Virtual Fashion Show was happening the same time as Fashion week in New York, which made it even more exciting. This product allows our young fashion designers to get creative and express their talents using the wide variety of Crayola products. The best part is that they get to view their own presentations. First, they color and create with their virtual kit, then you take a picture of your creation with your device. Using your Crayola Virtual Fashion Show app it transforms the design into a runway presentation. Your kids will be stunned and delighted when they see their creations on the screen.
