Can you believe how fast the summer is going before you know it the kids will be back to schools. I was lucky enough to attend a Momstrends blogger event that showed us the best back to school brands and experts. This wonderful event was held at the Vera Bradley studio in New York. What a great location for the inside scope as to what will be hot for back to school this year.
The Vera Bradley Studio which provided the space for this event, showed us the newest looks in kid’s backpacks and accessories. The bright bold colors will make you want to go back to school. These bags are so high quality that you will not be afraid to stuff it full of books and supplies. They are also bags that would be great for college students. Also part of the night we got to meet Barbara Bardley Baekgaard, co-founder of Vera Bradley and mom of 4, she started the company with a friend. It was great to speak to her about paving the way for women in business which she did, and showed us how we can make a success.
A party would not be a party without some refreshments and this night snacks where provided by Revolution Foods. Revolution Foods are a type of meal kit. These kits are ideal for kids as the are lunches without nitrates, preservatives, and artificial colors. The meats are raised with no antibiotics and cheese are from cows that aren’t treated with rBST.
French Toast was on hand to show us a line of quality, affordable stylish clothes and uniforms for your back to school needs. Sizes start at 2T, the great part of these clothes is that they are durable and it will take a beating from your kids and hold up well. This is great for moms as we need clothes that last. French Toast has done a great job of listen to customers needs and giving us what we wanted.
I loved seeing what Mabel’s Labels had for us. These are essential for keeping track of items. They are perfect for all your children’s books and supplies. They actually made labels with our names on it and now I can’t lose anything. It is wonderful the colors and designs are tremendous.
While French Toast took care of the clothes, Stride Rite was on hand to show us the shoes that kids will be rocking this Fall. These styles are so great that your kids will be happy to wear them. They are also a brand that grows with your kids and supports their needs. I love this brand, I remember wearing it as a child myself and I love that the legacy continues in a brand we can trust.
Also on hand was Wall Pops, this company offers the most wonderful peel and stick wall decals. They also have wall art and tools to keep us organized such as dry eraser note boards and calendars, this is going to help you keep on track all year long.
While we don’t like to talk about lice we know and dread that lice outbreak letter being sent home from your child’s school. Vamousse is a line of prevention and treatment products that are non-toxic and pesticide-free that will make dealing with this problem just a little bit better.
Finally, we got to see a parenting book by Shelia McCraith titled “Yell Less, Love More”. Shelia challenged herself to not yell at her kids and this books tells us how she did. I can’t wait to read it and she what happened.
It was an awesome and informational night. I had so much fun. Thank you MomTrends for another great event.
