Side Hustle Set Up: What You’ll Need To Do To Make Money In Your Spare Time

September 23, 2024 By denise Leave a Comment

Want to start a side hustle of your own? Then you’re going to need to get a few things straight first. After all, even if you’re only putting a bit of time and effort into making money around your usual day job, you’re only going to get somewhere if you take it seriously!

That’s why we’ve put a little guide together below. If you want to generate some extra income, and maybe one day turn your side hustle into a genuine business, you’re going to need to establish yourself in the right way. Here are three things that’ll help you do that.

Dedicate Regular Hours to Your Side Hustle

How much time are you planning to dedicate to your side hustle? Maybe an hour each evening? Maybe a couple of hours twice a week? Maybe you want to work on it on weekends only?

Whatever your plans are for allocating time to make your side hustle happen, make sure you come up with a consistent, regular plan. Make sure it’s a schedule you can stick to or can be easily made up for if you have to rearrange your time.

Of course, if you’re looking to turn your side hustle into a real career, then being on the lookout for stable work is worth putting time into as well. You don’t have to be the one to put the time in yourself, however. Find the right partners for the industry you want to work in, like pharmaceutical recruiters, who can help you do some of the heavy lifting of your job search. Recruiters can help you prepare the best possible chance of a successful job application.

Set Up Your Own Website

Most side hustles depend on already-established platforms to make money. After all, all you need to do is create an account, upload pictures and descriptions of your products, and voila! You’re good to start selling.

However, when you use third-party sites as a seller, you’re always going to come up against fees. These may be for advertising or use of the platform itself, which can lower the profit you make off of each sale. This often requires sellers to make up for the loss by raising the price of the item itself, but this can put off buyers.

So make sure you have a website of your own to sell through. Once you do, you can add woocommerce payment integration to the site to enable you to take payments, which’ll make the whole process a lot simpler, easier, and more affordable for everyone.

Focus on Social Media

A strong online presence can do a lot for a business, even before it’s turned into a full-time pursuit. The more traction you get on social media on day one, the more followers you’re going to build in the long run.

You can also use this time, before your side hustle takes off, to establish a proper rapport with your followers. An engaged following is worth ten times the amount of a large following that only likes posts but never clicks through. Use the time you have now to prove the kind of business owner you are, and why interacting with your posts is worth it for the people behind the screen.

If you want to set up a side hustle, do so with these best practices in mind. Side hustles can be great money-makers when you plan them out just right, and these tips will certainly help with that!

Side Hustle Ideas you Should Explore in 2024

August 22, 2024 By denise Leave a Comment

If you want to start a side hustle but just have no idea where to start then you have come to the right place. This guide will show you what steps you can take to get your idea off the ground, so you can look forward to a future that is bright and full of financial possibilities.

Monetize YouTube

One thing you can do, if you want to start a side hustle, is monetize YouTube. YouTube is home to billions of users, and they all watch millions of hours of video, every single day. If you want to tap into these views, then one thing you can do is become part of the YouTube program. When you do, you can then earn from any ads that you happen to show during the videos you have. Just bear in mind that it takes a lot of time for you to gather enough viewers to earn from ads. That is why so many YouTubers look for other ways to try and build on their content. If you want to help yourself here, then nothing you can do is also try and direct viewers to buy something from your store. If you find that things take off, then one good thing to do would be for you to get federal EIN application help. On the side, find out what company formation you should create, and what you are expected to pay in terms of tax, as this will give you a good insight for the future.

Sell Digital Products

If you want to avoid the hassle of shipping products then another thing you can do is try and sell digital products through your own business. When you sell digital products, you have the option of sending them out via email. This is a great way for you to sell things like custom visuals or even MP3s. You can also sell PDFs and other kinds of digital templates. Use your skillset to start a side hustle and create educational books if you feel as though this fits the bill. By doing this, you will soon find that this ends up getting you the result you need.

Become a Tutor

Another thing you can do is try and become a tutor. Tutoring is a great skill to have, and it is also a rewarding side hustle. It’s easier than ever for you to become a tutor as well, and all you have to do is make sure that you are putting considerable effort in at the start. To make it profitable, you do need to make sure that you are signing up for the right websites. If you can do this then you will notice that everything comes together and that you can generate an income without having to give up your day job. Another great thing about tutoring is that you may be able to meet people who you go on to forge friendships with, which is always a good thing for your mental health.
