All About Gelli® Arts and How to Use Them

Have you heard about the Gelli® printing craze?I recently got a few of these fun play arts to try out. You may ask what are these if you have not used them before. These gel plates allow you to produce a textured print on fabric or paper with the use of stencils and stamps. Sounds great, in the past individuals made home ones using gelatin powder.

Using them to make wonderful creations is very easy and alot of fun.

With your plate laid out at your work area, cover it with paint. You can use acrylic paints if you like. Inks and Dyes should not be used on Gelli® plates because the gel can absorb the ink and permanently stain it. Acrylics do tend to dry fast so make sure you work quickly.
Place your stencil down on the wet paint and lay the material that you are printing on over the stencil.
Use your hands to press the material down into the paint. Lift the material off and you have your printed press.
Coat your plate with a thin layer of acrylic paint.
Press your stamps (or anything with texture) into the wet paint. You are essentially removing the paint from the plate.
Lay your material on the stamped plate and press it into the paint with your hands.
Lift the material off the plate and you have your printed piece!

Gel Printing Plate looks and feels like gelatin, but is durable, reusable and stores at room temperature. It’s easy to clean and always ready for printing. Mia Moda Marisa 3-in 1 Stroller

In July, I attended the annual Blogger Bash conference that was held on a boat in New York. One of the best parts of the conference is that we get small breakout conferences. I really love these because we are able to speak to a group of brands. One of these mini conferences is the Baby Palooza and it is focused on most well known brands talking to moms. They are here to let us know about all of the new products, engaged with fun activities and discuss one on one how they would like to work with you in the future.

A really cool line was the Mia Moda’s line of baby gear that includes European-styled baby strollers. These are simply built for today’s modern family with a fusion of functions, fashion, longevity and affordability. The Marisa 3-in 1 Stroller, which grows with children from baby to toddler. It has features like a padded, reversible seat for parent-facing or forward-facing seating, a flat sleeper seat, conversion to carry cot, adjustable handlebar, and other high tech features for safety, comfort and convenience. To top it all off, it is super lightweight and easy to move around. It was easy for me to move around and nicely designed. What I really love is that this stroller goes for balance. It is very stylish but it has functions and price that we all can enjoy.

Yankee Candle’s New Fall 2016 Line

A few months ago I attended the Press Previews Holiday Gift Event. At the event I got to meet the representatives from Yankee Candle. I was so excited to hear about the upcoming Fall line and now that we are almost at the time of year I wanted to share that information with my readers.

The Yankee Candle announced the new Fall 2016 fragrances will both come in classic jars and tumbler forms. The premium scented candles will embrace the autumnal change in the season by drawing on familiar crisp outdoors and cozy indoor while incorporating some unexpected notes. The new line embodies the season. I am always super excited when the new lines are launched because I can’t wait to try them.

Don’t these all sound wonderful. I have already tried the Crisp Fall Night and I love it. I hate to see Summer go, but with these fragrances you can welcome Fall in with Style.
