The Emoji Movie! @EmojiMovie #TheEmojiMovie

Disclosure: I was invited by Sony to view upcoming screens from the Emoji Movie. All opinions expressed here are my own.

The Emoji Movie unlocks the never-before-seen secret world inside your smartphone. Hidden within the messaging app is Textopolis, a bustling city where all your favorite emojis live, hoping to be selected by the phone’s user. In this world, each emoji has only one facial expression – except for Gene (T.J. Miller), an exuberant emoji who was born without a filter and is bursting with multiple expressions. Determined to become “normal” like the other emojis, Gene enlists the help of his handy best friend Hi-5 (James Corden) and the notorious code breaker emoji Jailbreak (Anna Faris). Together, they embark on an epic “app-venture” through the apps on the phone, each its own wild and fun world, to find the Code that will fix Gene. But when a greater danger threatens the phone, the fate of all emojis depends on these three unlikely friends who must save their world before it’s deleted forever.

The phone is owned by Alex, voiced by Jake T. Austin. Many kids at home have their own phone and they use emojis to help them communicate. I must admit at times they are emojis that I don’t recognize and need help to find out what it means.

We got a great opportunity to view pieces of the movie and after ward got the privilege to interview the cast. We first got to talk with Jake T. Austin, who many of you might know from his as Dora’s cousin Diego. I have to admit it was a trill to meet the person behind the voice. He was wonderful taking time to talk to us and answer our questions. Jake told us that he had a great time lending his voice to Alex, who is just a teen trying to get through school and find a date. This is happening while his phone apps are trying to stay alive.

The movie was not yet completed when we saw it, but it was fun and relevant to everyone. The director, Tony Leondis, promised that they were some surprises in store for us when we see the finished product. I can’t wait to see it when it opens of July 28, 2017.

The Rough Night Movie-@RoughNightMovie #roughnightmovie

I got to preview this movie a couple of weeks ago and I loved it. I laughed all the way through it.

The comedy follows five friends from college. Played by in Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Illana Glazer, and Zoe Kravitz. They reunite when they rent a beach house in Miami for a wild bachelorette weekend that goes completely out of hand. Just when you think all hope is lost, they realize there’s more to the story that they could imagine.

Our  main character, played by Scarlett Johansson, is a goody two shoes politician who will probably lose her upcoming election because she is so squeaky clean. And so is her fiancé played by Paul Downs.

Jillian Bell plays Scarlett’s over eager college roommate who seems to live for her friendship with Johansson. She has no just planned a wedding shower weekend getaway for them and their other college buddies, she has micromanaged every minute of it, down to the last second. I had a friend like that, it can be excruciatingly annoying!

Kate McKinnon plays the odd woman out in the group, she was Scarlett’s roommate on her trip abroad in Australia. Disclosure: we think Kate is one of the funniest women alive. So imagine her doing an Australian accent with an attitude of surprise at most things American.

Zoe and Ilana round out the group. They had been lovers in college, but in recent years Zoe had married a man, and Ilana was a lesbian always getting in trouble for her political activism.

The ladies meet in Miami for a wild and crazy bachelorette party, and at the last minute decide to add some cocaine to their evening. From there it is only natural that one would go on Craig’s list to hire a male stripper, right?

You already know from the promo’s that the chubby girl takes a run at the stripper’s lap and ends up knocking him over. He accidentally hits his head and bleeds to death. That was a dark moment in the comedy, but a great set-up for what is about to transpire over the evening!

Ty Burrell and Demi Moore play the horny couple next door who are in an open relationship looking to add on one more. See the movie to see why this was absolutely brilliant casting.

We all three loved the movie, we laughed hysterically throughout and would happily see it again.

All You Need Is Love and “Beat Bugs” on Netflix

I was so happy to be selected as an official member of the Beat Bugs Dream Team! This means that I will be bringing you all the latest news and consumer product information on Netflix’s hit show Beat Bugs.

 

Beat Bugs is an Emmy award winning animated kids series featuring music inspired by The Beatles and is currently a huge hit on Netflix. The story revolves around the lives of five best friends, charming and funny childlike bugs who explore and learn in their suburban backyard home. Netflix recently released Beat Bugs, a new Netflix original series for kids inspired by the music of the Beatles. It includes all-star cover artsists like P!nk, Aloe Blacc, Eddie Vedder and Sia. Covers by Rod Stewart, Jennifer Hudson and Tori Kelly will be featured in Season 2 this November. Each episode features a well-known Beatles song woven into uplifting and fun stories filled with melody, hope and the wonders of friendship. The series is fun and is a great way to introduce the beloved catalogue of Beatles classics to a whole new generation.

I like solving problems, which is lucky, because my friends are always getting themselves into trouble! I also love dress-ups.

This is a kids series that will bring families together. Personally I have never enjoyed sitting down and watching Netflix.

This new series has been put together so well, it is really impressive. Netflix original series just keep getting better and better!
