Disclosure: I was invited as media by Sony Pictures to the movie screening, press junket interviews and Sony Square NYC. I want to say thank you to everyone at Sony for the wonderful press junket it was a great experience. All opinions expressed here are my own.
It was a great couple of days.
It started with the screening of Spider-Man Homecoming. It was wonderful to see the movie first and get to screen what the movie would be all about.
On Sunday we got to be part of the press conference to talk to the cast. Our press conference panel consisted of other bloggers, media and online outlets. It was also broadcasted live on Facebook.
Amy Pascal, The producer.
Kevin Feige, President of Marvel.
Jacob Batalon, Plays Ned (Peter Parker’s BFF)
Laura Harrier, (Plays Liz)
Michael Keaton, (Plays the Vulcher)
Tom Holland (Peter Parker/Spider-Man)
Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man)
Marisa Tomei (Aunt May)
Zendaya (Michelle)
Tony Revolori (Flash)
Jon Watts (Director)
It was so great to see and hear Michael Keaton, Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Holland talk about making this film. Here are snippets from the interview.
Here is what the cast said about making the movie:
Kevin: “Having made the movie, it is incredible!”
Amy: “I can’t believe we are hear now, it is pretty exciting!”
Jon: “I tried to approach it as the biggest fan ever.”
Tom: (about kids) “I really wanted to do them proud and be a great role model!”
Robert: “I saw it and I honestly really loved it!”
I had so much fun at the Press Junket at the Whitby Hotel. It was a great way to start the day. We then boarded a bus to the Goodwill to compete in the DIY challenge. We were given at $25 gift card and had 15 minutes to shop for clothing to make a Spider-Man costume. Here is what I eventually came up with.
After our shopping spree we headed back to the bus and headed to Chelsea Piers to sail around Manhattan on the Adirondack and got to the explore the sights. It was great to get out on the water and see the sights of New York. I also got a chance to take the helm of the boat and sail around. It was a beautiful day.
The next event was to attend an event at the Sony Square for the Spider-Man Homecoming VIP experience. As soon as you walk into the area you are transported into the world of Spider-Man. From the over head web to the Spider-Man film costumes and props. You also got a chance to step into Peter Parker’s shoes by playing the Spider-Man: VR. We also got a chance to climb a NYC building just like Spidey.
Then for the big surprise Tom Holland came out. He greeted everyone and started to take pics with all of us. He was great and interacted with all of us.
As you can see, this is a fun experience for any Spider-Man fan so make sure you visit and check everything out.

Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.
