Reebok Helps You Get Ready to Workout This Fall

The end of summer is in sight so I am making a point of getting outdoors as much as possible. When we are going through transitional seasons, it means it is time for me to update my workout gear to fit the season.

I have been searching for a pair of white sneakers. The running styles I found just didn’t mesh with my everyday wardrobe. When I was introduced to the Reebok Cotton + Corn line.

In addition to using 100 percent, organic cotton for the shoe’s upper, avoiding the pesticides and herbicides used on traditional cotton, Reebok’s new sneakers use a corn product to create the bioplastic sole. To round out the grown-from-the-earth ingredients, the insole is designed from castor bean oil. The first product from this line to hit the market, the NPC UK Cotton + Corn sneaker, is the first shoe to be certified by the USDA as containing 75 percent bio-based materials. These products are sourced in partnership with DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products, a company known for creating bio-based solutions for a variety of markets.

While using these plant-based ingredients is innovative, the overarching work toward sustainable shoes doesn’t stop there. Reebok has a three-part, fully sustainable cycle envisioned for the Cotton + Corn product line that considers production, wear, and post-use. It is well on its way to achieving that goal because the sneakers are completely compostable at the end of their wear cycle. The life cycle continues from there when that compost is then used for the next generation of shoes. This is in deep contrast to the estimated 20 billion shoes produced annually, nearly all of which eventually end up in the landfill, where they take hundreds of years to decompose. Plus, Reebok has taken the added steps of removing toxic dyes from the production process and shipping the shoes in 100 percent recycled packaging.

I love these sneakers and it comes in four great colors. I have received numerous compliments about the shoes and telling everyone that it is from Reebok. These staple shades that still manage to spice up your basic footwear game.

When I am searching for new gear, the first thing I love to check out is leggings. I instantly fell in love with Reebok Striped Leggings. These 7/8 leggings offer more than style for your fashionista side. Speedwick technology manages sweat to keep you cool, dry, and your look on lock. Flatlock stitching, a wide waistband, and an abrasion-free panel ensure chafe-free comfort during your studio session. Layer with a bold top for a chic ensemble. Looking for a good pair of leggings is serious business. You’ve gone through so many clothing racks you can barely keep count, and finding the perfect combination of comfort, function, and wearability takes commitment.

Trying on leggings can make you feel uncomfortable. Sometimes they are too small, and it takes a bit of effort to find a pair that’s just right. I love that Reebok has taken this into consideration with the construction of these leggings. They don’t slip, and you don’t get that permanent line across your stomach. The waistband is wide and fits perfect. They are so comfortable that you can wear them all day long.

The final piece to round out my attire is the Reebok Classics Women’s Vector Hoodie. This hoodie is a modern-day take on a classic sporty look, showing off Reebok heritage with Vector graphics on the sleeve and chest. Other special features include bell-shaped sleeves creating a free-flowing vibe, a mid-cut length so it sits perfectly across the waist, cozy drawcord hood and the softest, crispiest white fleece to keep you warm during the cooler months.
