I have been using Philosophy beauty products for most of my life and I adore all their products that is why I am so excited about the new Nature in a Jar line.
It is 100% vegan, made with naturally-derived products, and sustainable. Check out the Philosophy Nature in a Jar Skincare & Body care collection.
Here we have a 3-piece skin-care and 2-piece body-care collection of natural, clean products that promise to address fatigued sensitive skin and dryness. It contains:
- Naturally derived ingredients from extremophile desert plants including agave, jojoba and prickly pear
- Uses cryo-extraction for the agave extract to maximize efficacy
- 100% vegan formulations
- Composed of post-consumer recycled material
- Entirely recyclable
Nature in a jar harnesses the unique benefits of extremophile desert plants including agave, jojoba, and prickly pear to skincare. These are plants that have found remarkable ways to thrive and survive that allow them to endure the most extreme dry periods in a hostile environment and continue to flourish.
Cryo-extraction is the process of freezing the fresh plant to stop the enzymatic activity, then extracting components from the frozen fresh plant. This works to limit oxidation and preserve the most fragile actives of the plant, including enzymes, vitamins, and polyphenols.
Within the range, there are three skincare products that follow Philosophy’s cleanse, peel, treat regimen with a cleanser, an exfoliator. and a moisturizer:
- Gentle detoxifying cleanser with agave
- Gentle warming exfoliator with jojoba
- Cica complex recovery moisturizer
There are also two great body products:
- Nourishing in-shower oil
- Cream-to-water body lotion
I love the textures of both the face and body products. I particularly love the Philosophy Nature in a Jar cleanser with its light whipped texture and satisfying yet gentle foam.
It leaves skin feeling really clean and fresh. It doesn’t strip it at all which is often the worry with foaming cleansers. The line’s exclusive agave cryoextract in included for antioxidant benefit.
I think my favorite is the Philosophy Nature in a Jar Warming Exfoliator because it instantly brightens the skin in less than a minute. It has a lovely gooey texture, and uses exfoliating particles in a gentle formulation, designed to renew skin, smooth texture. and. minimize the look of pores.
It really got my complexion gleaming after the first use. My skin was feeling a little bumpy and congested on the sides of my chin, and it really helped to smooth that out.
Jojoba oil and apricot oil conditioned the skin and the scrubby bits are courtesy of fine-grain diatomaceous earth, in line with the range’s natural theme.
The Philosophy Nature in a Jar nourishing in-shower oil uses hemp-derived seed oil which is an ingredient I am loving right now. I love a shower product that really nourishes the skin. You simply smooth this over wet skin and then pat dry. It’s like a leave-in conditioner for the body.
You can leave it there, or layer up with the collection’s cream-to-water body lotion. This one has a gorgeously light texture, as the name would suggest.
The formula is quite unique in that as soon as it touches the skin, it starts to transform into a watery texture. It sinks in beautifully and leaves skin moisturized all day.
