Disclosure: As a member of the Crayola Ambassador program, I received product and samples for my time and efforts in creating this post. All opinions are my own.
Crayola has always been a staple in my household. I can remember growing up and starting school, and being excited to get that box of 64 crayons and thinking about the possibilities of the things that I could create. I am not a great artist but I can dream. I was absolutely trilled when I was asked to participate in the Crayola’s new Colors of World crayons and participate in their campaign to share our #TrueSelfie
Crayola’s new Colors of the World crayons contain 24 newly formulated colors meant to reflect more than 40 skin tones from around the globe. These colors use 3 undertones, rose, almond, and golden, and range in tones from extra light to deep. The box highlights the names of the shades, and each crayon’s wrapping includes the name in English, French and Spanish. The world that we live in today is so diverse and beautiful, it is important that every child be able to express themselves as individuals. It is part of why I am so excited for the new Colors of the World line from Crayola! These crayons help us embrace our differences and be proud of them.
I am encouraging everyone to try out the Colors of the World crayons and share their own self portraits on social media with the hashtag #TrueSelfie. You can also use the Crayola Color Camera app to create coloring pages out of photos. Kids love apps so this one is perfect for them. You can add silly stickers and backgrounds to photos of you or your pets. Share your coloring pages on social media, tag @crayola, and use #Trueselfie.
Have you tried Crayola’s Colors of the World crayons yet? What do you think of them?
