The Moms Deliver a Triple Delight with #SweeneyMamarazzi

Thanks to The Moms Denise Albert and Melissa Gertsein I got to experience the “BLT” of events on Tuesday, June 3, 2014. This event combined Valspar Paint, Arizona Skinny Girl Sparklers and Alison Sweeney; now that is what I call a wonderful night

Let me set the stage for you, this event was held at Adella an intimate wine bar and restaurant serving small plates of food and a unique selection of beer of wine. At the time of this event the restaurant was not even open to the public, so we got a sneak peak inside. It is just off 43rd Street in Midtown Manhattan and I am sure before long will be a popular spot to meet and enjoy a nice evening with friends.

Arizona Skinny Sparklers were on hand to help us celebrate the night. Skinnygirl Sparklers are non-alcoholic drinks combining sparkling water and real fruit juice. They come in four delicious flavors: Pineapple Coconut, Tangerine Mango, Strawberry Lemonade, and Pink Grapefruit. Each flavored seltzer is more delicious than the other, and it is really hard for me to pick a favorite because they’re all so fizzy and flavorful.

If that was not enough we got a glimpse of Valspar’s new Spring/Summer line of paints. Since I moved into my home, I have been trying to find ways to make it more of myself. I started dreaming of easy paint makeovers that I wanted to try. When I saw these new colors that Valspar introduced I was inspired. I have to admit in the past I have been a bit nervous when selecting paint colors and what if you don’t get it right the first time around. I was delighted to learn about the Valspar Color Guarantee, if you purchase a color that you don’t end up liking in your space, they will replace it with any new color for free. Well guess what I decided to tackle my laundry room and spruce it up.

Now for the Pièce de résistance, when I found out this event was with Alison Sweeney, I was so excited. Alison started on the show when she was 16, so I have been watching her for years When I sat down and tried to remember when I first saw her appear as Samantha Jean Brady on Days of our Lives, I realize that it has been 21 years. She celebrated her 20th anniversary on the show on January 22, 2013, so time surely flew by. I remember when she first appeared, in first scene on the show she did not even speak, she entered the Brady Pub dressed in a blue coat and brown hat, keeping her head down as she made a call on a public phone to her on scene mom Marlene Evans. We only got a glimpse of her face but you could already see she was going to be a force.

Alison know has become an acclaimed actress, host of tv show, magazine contributor and author, and that is why we were here tonight to celebrate the release of her newest book Scared Scriptless. She has already authored one book titled Star Attraction and is working on her next book. In this book, we take an interest look at a work place romance. The lead character Maddy Carson is a successful script supervisor for a television show, but her job is getting in the way of her private life. My favorite part of the book is when Maddy says ” I have a visual record of every prop and how the author is holding it and every movement they made in the scene.” It is hard to believe that someone could do this, but Sweeney makes us believe it. I won’t give away more about the story, this way you can enjoy it as much as I did.

Alison was so sweet and nice it was like having one of my girlfriends over for a drink, she spent some time talking to me about the show and even remembered that we tweeted over the weekend and gave me a hug.

The thing thou I will take away most of this event is something that Alison said because of it I had a epiphany about my life. She said “If you want something done, give it to a busy person.” This is so much like me, I have had a lot of trials the past couple of years, but I have still managed to keep busy and people still ask me to do stuff so I must be doing something right.
