I love Versed skincare. All of their products are made of clean ingredients, cruelty-free, vegan, sold at Target for under $20, and have super cute packaging.
I’ve been putting a large majority of their skincare products to the test for a few months. I have sensitive skin so I try to introduce products slowly and carefully. I am also working on reducing the visibility of past scars. I do have some fine lines around my eyes that I would love to remove.
I would love to share with you some of the top products from the line.
Zero-G Smoothing Eye Cream
This is a great eye cream for nighttime. It is loaded with peptides and gives such a pretty under-eye glow. personally don’t love the look of my makeup when I wear this eye cream underneath so I just reserve it for nighttime use.
Out of Sight Dark Spot Gel
This product was one that I wanted to try. I was hoping that this formula would get rid of those dark spots. I did what any good dark-spot obsessed would do: I put the Out of Sight Dark Spot Gel to the test on a stubborn new batch of hyperpigmentation.
The concentrated brightening treatment goes on smoothly, with a precision applicator that makes it easy to dot a thin layer onto targeted areas of clean, dry skin. The crystal-clear gel is thick but seemingly mess-proof: Just two to three minutes is all it takes to sink in, freeing you up to layer on the rest of your skincare.
The Versed Out of Sight Dark Spot Gel claims to clear new hyperpigmentation in just a few weeks, fading and evening out old spots in two to three months. My at-home test followed that timeline: My latest batch of post-acne scarring looked marginally more even-toned in just a week.
Found the Light Powder with Vitamin C
This is a good way to add vitamin C to your skincare routine, provided you’re willing to take an extra step involving a little mixology.
The powder itself is lightweight and silky. It mixes well into moisturizers and serums without drastically altering their textures. Aside from those base ingredients, this contains vitamin C… and that’s about it. It’s a good amount of a form of vitamin C known as 3-O ethyl ascorbic acid, meaning you will see brightening benefits and of course, it has antioxidant benefits as well.
Instant Gratification At-Home Dermaplaning Tool
I want clear skin, so what’s a girl to do? Well, I think I’ve cracked the code with the latest edition to my bathroom routine. It is dermaplaning.
The treatment is not new. But my skin was looking a little, ahem, tired, at the beginning of this spring, and I decided I needed to figure out something ASAP. That’s the beauty of dermaplaning — it works in an instant.
First, you want to find the right tool. It knocks all other types of exfoliation out of the water and delivers the smoothest, glowiest skin of your life, immediately. Before you ask, yes, you’re shaving your face, but no, the hair won’t grow back thicker or quicker.
The second thing you’ll want to do is work it into your weekly routine. In the winter, I’m a twice-a-week exfoliator. But in the summer, with more time spent outside, I worry about exposing sensitive skin to the sun, so I usually forgo the chemical peels entirely. That said, dermaplaning is a physical exfoliant that gently removes that top layer of dead skin and peach fuzz, so I don’t need to worry about damaging my skin further if I forget the SPF one day. I typically dermaplane once a week, after I get out of the shower. I just hold my skin taut with my free hand, and, at a 45-degree angle, I move the tool down the contours of my face in short, gentle strokes.
Not only does your skin feel extremely soft afterward and look extra glowy, but the rest of your skin-care routine will work better, and your makeup will go on smoother.
