Growing up we always had figurines in the home. My mom and dad when they saw special pieces that spoke to them, would purchase these and they would have a prominent place in our home. Later as I got older these special pieces were moved to safety inside a hutch. These pieces became cherished keepsakes for my family, and I take them with me whenever I move. It reminds me of a happy time.
I was so thrilled to be introduced to this company this holiday season. Klarborg Collectibles was founded by designer Etly Klarborg in Denmark and has gained a following worldwide. It is a crafted line of figurines that showcase warmth and nostalgia. Each figurine is carefully sculpted, and painted with details that give it a lifelike look.
What makes this company special is that it focuses on storytelling. Tales of Nordic folklore inspire every piece. This is especially important this time of year when we are looking for inspiration and heartwarming stories.
Think about your children’s faces as you share the tales behind these figurines. It is a wonderful way to connect during the holidays. I know that this year’s piece brought me a sense of joy that I could add it to the collection that my parents passed down to me.
This year’s Elfin couple introduced me to Cirkeline and Sylvester.
Cirkeline is a sweet and loving elf, with the most beautiful curls hidden under her hat. She loves to read Christmas stories late at night. She turns on the Christmas lights and gets out some sweets, and immediately all the Elfs and little creatures some out to have a good time.
Sylvester is a lively and happy little powder puff. He loves to help in the woods, so he is exhausted by the evening. He is laid back and loves to sit with a warm blanket, treats in hand and hear Christmas stories.
These are perfect whether you are starting a new tradition or adding to an existing one. This line offers you a variety of options to suit what you like. Holiday-themed pieces to a festive touch to year-round pieces that inspire everyday life.
Let me know if you have any of these pieces in your home.
