On November 17, 2014, I was invited to attend the opening of the first Glade Boutique. This store opened in New York City and will be there through the holiday season. This one of a kind Pop-Up Boutique is here just in time for the holidays and it was a night of great fun and surprises.
The boutique features a multi-sensory, immersive, and interactive experience for shoppers-including a journey through five spaces all inspired and infused with fragrance. These rooms will knock you off you feet, when you step inside, you will feel like you have been transported into another land.
The idea behind this is one that is simple but one that we don’t think about with our busy lives. How does the power of scent make us feel and how it affects our mood?
The space was created collaboration with designer Pamela Dennis and noted interior and architectural designer Stephanie Goto. Both designers played role in designing the boutique and visitors can see how the interior space reflects the inspiration and emotion they drew from the Glade scents.
When you first enter the boutique, you are greeted by a Concierge to help guide your scent and emotional journey. You have these great sofas where you can just sit and relax from the hustle and bustle of the city and the holidays.
The boutique features five amazing and stunning rooms that bring to life the Glade scents that we have come to love.
Relaxation which was inspired by Hawaiian Breeze is a walk through a larger than life conch shell where a warm breeze blows through the air and an orange glow warms the skin. As sounds of the ocean waves relax the mind, when you come out the other side to experience a beautiful sunset.
Flirty inspired by Blooming Peony and Cherry. This allows you to participate in a personal high fashion photo shoot y stepping into a one of the the kind gown created by celebrity designer Pamela Dennis.
Energized inspired by Red Honeysuckle Nectar. Enter a sleek, minimally futuristic space featurin four Oculus Rift stations (3D virutal reality) where a custom trill ride ends in a field of Red Honeysuckle Nectar and leaves you feeling energized.
You should are asked to share your experiences via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram using the hashtag #FeelGlade.
I leave one surprise for you check out the wall of 1.500 candles and see what is hidden there.
The Boutique is located at 408 West 14th Street in New York’s meatpacking district and will be open from November 16th through December 23rd, Monday-Friday (11:00am-8:00pm), Saturday (10:00am-8:00pm), and Sunday(11:00am-7:00pm). It will be closed for Thanksgiving Day.
