Last Wednesday I attended the 2015 Getting Gorgeous event, held by Audrey McClelland and Vera Sweeney. These lovely ladies always put on a great event for us bloggers. I always love this event because it gives us a great chance to relax and have some fun.
This year’s event was sponsored by Restylane Silk, which is a lip enhancement treatment. The lounge was set up so beautifully. You could stop by and have a consultation with a dermatologist, and talk about you skin. She was so nice when we spoke about skin treatments and what we can do to keep our skin looking healthier. There was also complimentary makeup and refreshment lounge. I found out that I actually was doing my makeup right, I had the foundation and concealer on correctly. I have been trying to get it right for years so I was happy to hear that I got it right.
Other sponsors attending were Bali, who were providing free bra measurements and then took our names to send us a free bra. Do you know that most women are wearing the wrong bra because they do not know the correct size to buy. This is why these measurements are so great to get. Wearing the wrong bra, can cause you to be uncomfortable. I recommend that if you have not done it yet to get it done.
Another sponsor that several bloggers were excited about was Liquid Oxygen. Liquid Oxygen is a company that specializes in breakout. I’m especially looking forward to having him try the Liquid Oxygen Sun Block Protection when it becomes available. They also offered free face mapping.
I LOVE food, so it’s no big surprise that my favorite sponsor at Getting Gorgeous was The Backyard Food Company. Co-founded by Matt McClelland, I love the story of this business and I love the food. I sampled their Rhode Island Red Sweet Relish at the event and just bought a jar from off their website. I already know how I’m going to use it. I will use 1/2 with cream cheese as a dip. I think that I will use the other half over some pan grilled chicken for a nice, light summery dish.
Trollbeads, personalized beaded jewelry, was another standout company. I chose their turquoise leather bracelet simply because it matched my toenail polish. Chobani was also on hand to let me decorate my own lunch box and fill it with goodies.
I have to say my favorite part was the card reader, who was right on target with my reading, which was fun and scary at the same time.
Getting Gorgeous 2015 was a fun time to get acquainted with some new brands and to catch up with several of my longtime blogging friends.
Disclosure: Getting Gorgeous was an event for bloggers and we received gift products from some of the sponsors. As always, all opinions are my own.
