Disclosure: I was invited as a guest to attend the Momtrends event. All opinions expressed here are my own.
POMWonderful and my friends at Mom Trends invited me to a Culinary Experience this past Thursday. We gathered at Mietta Culinary Studio for this cooking event. When I stepped off the elevator and walked into the room I was greeted by alot of activity and I was totally pysched to begin. The space was beautiful and a long table was at one end of the space and I was trilled to see my own place setting.
The front of the studio had an area set up for us to do prep and cook. While I waited to begin the cooking I snacked on some great appetizers that included: Moroccan Shrimp with POM POMS, POM POMS Taco Bites, Mozzarella POM Basil Bruchetta, and POM Guacamole. I was ready to get on the stove and make something substanital. I helped make the POM POMS and Parmesan Cauliflower
Here is what you need:
Ingredients:
1/2 cup POM POMS Fresh Arils
2 heads cauliflower
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/3 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley
Method:
Heat oven to 400 degrees and cut cauliflower into small pieces.
In a bowl, toss together the cauliflower, olive oil, Parmeasan salt and pepper.
Transfer to a rimmed baking sheet and roast, until cauliflower begins to turn goldern, about 35 minutes, turning with a spatula half-way through.
Serve on a platter topped with POM POMS Fresh Arils and parsley.
The other women in the room worked on other parts of the menu as the night came to life. The feeling around the tables was warm and fanciful. The room rang with laughter as we drink delicious POM wonderful drinks.
The Menus was:
Nicole’s POM POM Chicken Salad
Roasted Salmon with POM POMS salsa
POM POMS and Parmesan Cauliflower
POM POMS Stuffed Squash
Whole Wheat Waffles with POM POMS
We finished making our dishes and were asked to be seated, as the kitchen staff plated the meal and were to begin service. I got a chance to chat with some wonderful women at my table and learn about them a little more.
Sitting at a table surrounded by all these women made me think about how far I have come in last year and how far I still have to go. I love the fact that I am finally a little more confident in myself and that path that I am taking.
I had a great time with POM POMS. Nicole, Sherri and the Momtrends team, you are always so supportive and encouraging every time I come to an event. Thank you!
