Before I discovered Rubbermaid BRILLIANCE products, I had to open containers just to see what was in there. Lids were a pain to open. Containers would leak in my lunch bag or the fridge and stacking them was awkward because most of my collection was mismatched. After using them for a few weeks, I think they are quite possibly the best containers I’ve ever had. Here’s why:

- You ever heard of BPA? Apparently, it’s a chemical that’s been used in the manufacturing of certain plastics since the 60s… There’s been some research that’s shown BPA can seep into food and beverages especially when the plastic is heated in the microwave or dishwasher. Although low levels of exposure are considered safe by the FDA, there are still concerns of possible health effects on the brain, fetuses, infants, and children. It’s also been linked to high blood pressure. I don’t know about you but the idea of chemicals seeping into my food is very unappealing. Thankfully, Rubbermaid BRILLIANCE is made of heat resistant BPA free materials so no worries here!
Now that I have a nice new set of containers, I don’t mind bringing my lunch to work. I’ve been eating healthier and saving money. Snacking on fresh raw vegetables and fruits throughout the day keeps my hunger at bay and helps me be less hungry in the evenings when I’m more likely to eat things I shouldn’t. I’ve even lost a few pounds and I’m loving it!
