Crayola Virtual Fashion Show

February 9, 2014 By denise 18 Comments

On Tuesday February 4, 2014, I was invited by Vera Sweeney and Audrey McClelland to attend an event with Crayola to launch their new Crayola Virtual Fashion Show product and application. This event was held in New York City at Dylan’s Candy Bar.

Crayola3

This Virtual Fashion Show was happening the same time as Fashion week in New York, which made it even more exciting. This product allows our young fashion designers to get creative and express their talents using the wide variety of Crayola products. The best part is that they get to view their own presentations. First, they color and create with their virtual kit, then you take a picture of your creation with your device. Using your Crayola Virtual Fashion Show app it transforms the design into a runway presentation. Your kids will be stunned and delighted when they see their creations on the screen. There faces just light up. [Read more…]

Omni-Potent Duosity-Birchbox

February 9, 2014 By denise 1 Comment

Birchbox offered a contest on twitter last week and I entered to win a tube of the Omni-Potent Duosity for you hair.

Omni-Potent Duosity

What is this product you ask it is a hair moisturizer. It is a double whipped hair treatment. It is a concentrated 2-part formula that whips into foaming treatment. When the 2 parts combine a chemical reaction occurs and a new potent formula is created to optimally penetrate the hair shaft for maximum results. I am always excited to try something to help with my dry hair and this cold weather has made it really hard to tame this season. I used most of the product on the ends of my hair because it needed more work. I like that the product did not weigh my hair down and it looked really great. The product retails for about $25.

For those of you who don’t know what Birchbox is it is a company that offers consumers a monthly box full of beauty, grooming and lifestyle products for you to try. These samples are sometimes full-size and if you like the products you can purchase it off their website. It is an absolutely great way to test skin care and make up products and see what you like.

Disclosure: This blog was written by me and the opinions are my own. I received the product in a contest.

Super Bowl Party and Arizona Beverages

February 8, 2014 By denise 2 Comments

Growing up I remember watching the Super Bowl every year with my dad. It was a big day of watching the teams and discussing the players and what the game would be like. My mom would prepare special dishes for us to have on this day as we enjoyed all the pre-game ceremonies, the game, and post game reports.

This year Super Bowl 48th was played right in our own backyard in the Meadowlands in New Jersey. This game would be the Denver Broncos versus the Seattle Seahawks. The number one offense against the number one defense.

This year for my Super Bowl party I wanted to make it fun, with good food and great games. I started early by getting decorations that was team inspired and stuff that we could use to decorate the house with. Go Team, even if you were not a fan of either team as long as you are a fan of football then you could enjoy.

When thinking about food for the Super Bowl I like to make foods that are kid-friendly and very easy to eat. Foods that you can eat with your hands and the best, such as wings, skins, and chicken tenders. What do for the adults, they love the hand held foods also but I always have a little buffet. Of course, we always have chips, dips and assorted snacks. Finally, for dessert, we had football shaped cupcakes. Yum

This year’s party was extra special as my friends at Arizona Beverages provided the drinks.

The adults got to enjoy Skinnygirl Sparklers. Skinnygirl Sparklers are non-alcoholic drinks that combine sparkling water and real fruit juice. The come in four great flavors: Pineapple Coconut, Strawberry Lemonade, Pink Grapefruit and Tangerine Mango. Each one is great and if you want to take it up a touch you can add a bit of alcohol. They are really fun and Super Bowl was the perfect place for these fizzy and flavorful drinks.

Arizona did not forget the kids, at the party we introduced the new Kidz Iced Tea, each of these are packaged in a sports-themed PET bottle. The lemon flavor iced tea contains no preservatives, artificial colors or artificial flavors and uses pure cane sugar as a sweetener. It contains 100 percent of the suggested daily intake of Vitamin C and only 60 calories per serving. It was a real hit with the kids.
