Growing up I remember watching the Super Bowl every year with my dad. It was a big day of watching the teams and discussing the players and what the game would be like. My mom would prepare special dishes for us to have on this day as we enjoyed all the pre-game ceremonies, the game, and post game reports.
This year Super Bowl 48th was played right in our own backyard in the Meadowlands in New Jersey. This game would be the Denver Broncos versus the Seattle Seahawks. The number one offense against the number one defense.
This year for my Super Bowl party I wanted to make it fun, with good food and great games. I started early by getting decorations that was team inspired and stuff that we could use to decorate the house with. Go Team, even if you were not a fan of either team as long as you are a fan of football then you could enjoy.
When thinking about food for the Super Bowl I like to make foods that are kid-friendly and very easy to eat. Foods that you can eat with your hands and the best, such as wings, skins, and chicken tenders. What do for the adults, they love the hand held foods also but I always have a little buffet. Of course, we always have chips, dips and assorted snacks. Finally, for dessert, we had football shaped cupcakes. Yum
This year’s party was extra special as my friends at Arizona Beverages provided the drinks.
The adults got to enjoy Skinnygirl Sparklers. Skinnygirl Sparklers are non-alcoholic drinks that combine sparkling water and real fruit juice. The come in four great flavors: Pineapple Coconut, Strawberry Lemonade, Pink Grapefruit and Tangerine Mango. Each one is great and if you want to take it up a touch you can add a bit of alcohol. They are really fun and Super Bowl was the perfect place for these fizzy and flavorful drinks.
Arizona did not forget the kids, at the party we introduced the new Kidz Iced Tea, each of these are packaged in a sports-themed PET bottle. The lemon flavor iced tea contains no preservatives, artificial colors or artificial flavors and uses pure cane sugar as a sweetener. It contains 100 percent of the suggested daily intake of Vitamin C and only 60 calories per serving. It was a real hit with the kids.
All of these things
