If you are like me cleaning can sometimes be a big challenge and make our days longer when we have to think about all the work we have to do. The time and energy can make you crazy.
I was lucky enough to attend an event hosted by Swiffer at Gary’s Loft here in NYC that was attended by actor Eric Stonestreet. Stonestreet is probably best known for his role on the popular sitcom Modern Family.
Present at the event was relationship expert Dr. Michelle Callahan. She was there to discuss the Swiffer Cleaning Index, a survey that unlocked “key communication points surrounding cleaning styles to better understand cleaning and its effects on today’s American households.” Some stats from the survey:
•85% of American couples say that “cleaning tensions” add stress to their relationships at home
•82% of American wives don’t ask for cleaning help because they don’t want to “nag”, but 61% of husbands say they would help if asked!
•It goes both ways: 67% of husbands avoid asking for help because they don’t want to be a nag.
•Unsurprisingly, 96% of American adults say that having a clean home makes them happy.
I never realized how much cleaning issues could have on your relationship but when you think about it how true it is it makes you sit and wonder. This is why Swiffer brought us Morty and Lee Kaufman. They are a real life couple who have been married over 40 years. In the commercial we see them getting the box from Swiffer and how they interact with it.
If you love a clean and have not try these products then you should. You will really see how cleaning can be just be a little bit easier and cause a little less tension in the household. I have learn to try and make it a little more fun. I also love how Swiffer is listening to what the customers want and trying to find products that fit those needs.
