I recently attending the The Big Toy Book’s Biggest Day of Holiday Play in New York. This was part of my connection with the BloggerConnection Network

During this Day I was introduced to one of the newest holiday electronics the Boogie Board tablet.

The Boogie Board has to be the coolest new gadget. Anywhere that you would write notes- on the go, in the car, your desk… the list goes on and on. It’s most like a dry erase board, except you don’t need a special pen to use it, and it erases at the click of a button! It is like magic, I have no idea how it works. LOL. But it does, and it’s fabulous. It’s a great writing tablet for kids– would be great for scratch work for homework. I have started keeping it in my purse, so I can use it if I need, but it’s also great for entertaining my boys when we’re out at the doctors or elsewhere waiting. Thanks, Improv Electronics!

Making Christmas Gift Bags

Looking for a special way to wrap up that holiday gift. It is so easy to make holiday gift bags. These are so easy to make and require little time and your recipients don’t need to know how fun and easy it was to create. This year we wanted to make our bags a little special so we purchased pens with there names on them and scratch off cards for friends and associates, but how do you hand those out. Well we decided to make our own gift bags.

First you will need to head to the craft store and pick up some cellopane bags, these could be clear or the ones that have images on them, like trees or even santas. Then get some ribbon also these can come in any color that you like or you can mix and match them.

We then tied the ribbon to the pen and cards and then placed them in the bags and made a bow on top.

Easy as that it is a fun for the kids to help with the assembly.

This is a step by step way to make your own Holiday Wreath. I found this is a great was to get your creative juices following and help you express yourself. All of these items can be found at your local crafting store.

What you will need:

24 inch wreath
Pre-made bow
Garland Wire
Silver Long Picks
Ribbon
Mini Ornaments

Fluff the bare wreath to the fullness you would like it to be.
Starting at the bottom of the wreath wrap your chosen ribbon around the wreath. To secure the ribbon to the wreath, simply tie the two ends together at your starting and finishing points.
To hide the area where you just made a knot with the ribbon, you can wire tie a pre-made bow onto the bottom of the wreath.
Fill in the wreath using the mini ornaments securing them to various branches using the garland wire. To make both sides of the wreath even, alternate sides starting at the bottom and work your way up when placeing ornaments so one side of the wreath doesn’t end up with more ornaments than the other.
The last step is to add the long silver picks to the bare wreath. Use the wire garland to secure the picks
Hang your completed wreath.
