I find it difficult at times to be part of a new trend. However, I am drawn to the new cut-out trend. The beauty of this trend is that you can be as subtle or sassy as you like. I have always loved shopping at Nordstrom, so I was super excited about their new in-house brand Open Edit. The brand features apparel for women, men, and kids.
The collection consists of apparel, shoes, jewelry, and accessories emphasizing size-inclusive ranges from XXS-3X.
Pieces in the collection were produced using organic cotton or recycled material such as polyester, or cellulosic fabrics.
Having this brand gives them the opportunity to directly influence change in the working conditions and environmental sustainability. They are looking to make sure that customers feel good about the products they are buying.
Open Edit falls align with the company’s broader sustainability initiative, including sourcing raw materials, disclosing traceability of products from factories while producing 90 percent of products in factors that invest in women’s empowerment.
