Well as the weather begins to cool down and the leaves begin to change it means we have to get ready for the season were sniffling, sneezing and coughing begin. In my household that is a constant thing we worry about. I am lucky that Vicks products get me ready for cold and flu season.

Vicks products have been used in my household since I was a child my mom believed that it would help you feel better by provide medication and comfort when you were not feeling well. That instant smell will help to clear your nasal passages.

I was excited to attend a recent Vicks event to learn about their new line of products and be able to share them with you.

The new Vicks SmartTemp Thermometer keeps track of the entire families temperature, symptoms and has medicine reminder settings, via Bluetooth technology and smartphone. This is great for me because I am always keeping track of things in my notebook the doctors always joke that I have my personal medical charts, wait till they see me with this.

If you live in a very dry place, you’d need a humidifier to introduce moisture into the air. There are two basic types of humidifiers, the cool and warm mist humidifiers. The basic difference between the two is their effect on the air. The cool mist humidifiers extract energy from the air to convert water into a gas. This consequently lowers the temperature of the air. In contrast, a warm mist humidifier heats the water to make it evaporate. Since the water is hot, the air temperature will also rise. Humidifiers are great to relieve the discomfort from the cold and flu symptoms. They are a staple in our household throughout the year, because of allergy season in the Spring and Summer.

Vicks Vapor Rub is my stale it reminds me of the smell of medicated Vapors and will always remind me of being a child and my mom rubbing it on my chest and throat. It always worked and as a child I was sick  a lot so I used it a lot. I was excited to hear about the new Lemon scent. Did you know that you can also use it on muscle aches.

Children’s Nyquil is also a great thing, it works on runny noses, stuffy head and coughing. It allows you to get a full night’s sleep.
