When I was growing up and we need to fix things around the house my dad would go to his toolbox and pull out his Craftsman tools. These tools were sold primarily at Sears. However, over the years Sears struggled and Craftsman products were sent overseas.

Is it no wonder that when I took on the DIY Project or renovating my kitchen and closet that I turned to Craftsman tools.

When I moved into my home, the kitchen needs tons of work. The cabinets were old and I had no storage space. All of this needed to be ripped out and I need to add space and an island. Older homes have character, but they were not built for the modern individual that has stuff.

After we decided that everything had to go in the kitchen to get a modern look, we then looked at what tools we needed for this project. I took inventory of what we had and then it was time to go shopping and lucky we got Craftsman tools. Which made me feel closer to my dad.

Circular Saw

A circular saw is one of the most versatile tools in the shop  This one tool can potentially take the place of both a miter saw and a table saw. But, you have to have a steady hand and set up a guide bar to get precision cuts. If you are building a deck, fence, or other outdoor structure, nothing will take the place of this mobile tool.

We used this tool constantly when we were working on the cabinets and the trimming. We needed a tool that would give us those precision cuts.

Drill/Impact Driver Combo:

A drill is the equivalent of your right hand man while working on any project. Go ahead and upgrade to a stronger drill and if you buy one that doubles as an impact driver, you’ll save room in your toolbox. This tool provided a solution for all my drilling and fastening needs. A contoured over-molded handle and lightweight design helps limit user fatigue during long durations. I got to use this often when working on the insides of the cabinets.

Oscillating Multi-Tool:

The oscillating tool is a mighty little tool you can bring to the location that needs cutting. Notch out your framing lumber; cut detail areas; sand in tight corners; scrape up times, and even cut nails with this tool and metal blade.
