Crate Creatures hit stores and building on the blind bag opening craze that evolved into larger toys being broken out or breaking themselves out. MGA offers up a selection of monsters you free from a crate to unleash laughs, scares and the obligatory fart noises on an unsuspecting public. While still in the crate, MGA make a try-me feature of the creature’s stretchy, ready-to-grab tongue that activates a bevy of sound effects.
Break into the crate to unbox your new beast friend. Pull their tongues for monstrously fun sounds and gross noises. Record and yak back phrases with your Crate Creatures Surprise! Blizz and Sizzle come in their own crates equipped with a crowbar to unleash the beast. Pull their tongues and they will vibrate and make gross and funny noises. Turn them upside down or tip them over for unique creature sounds. They flap their arms when you shake their tails and make chomping noises when you feed them their treats. Put them back in their crates and unleash them over and over.
No telling if this one will hold a kid’s attention past noon on any given day, but do any of them? At least Crate Creatures has given thought to replay power (ie; putting the creature back in the crate to release all over again) and the record feature will keep most little boys I know amused for at least a whole half hour!
MGA says Crate Creatures will be available via Target stores, Toys R Us and Amazon.com, but we’ve not seen any listings for the product on any of those retailer’s websites, so I suppose we are left to scramble into the holiday shopping fray to score one before your family’s chosen holiday celebration.
