Disclosure: As a member of the Crayola Ambassador program, I received product and samples for my time and efforts in creating this post. All opinions are my own.
I was so excited when I attended the Toy Fair and saw all the new products from Crayola. Easter is right around the corner and soon the kids will be out of school. These products will help you and your children have fun with color. I love all these products.
Crayola Color Wonder Scented Stampers and Markers
The cool thing about the Color Wonder line is it only colors on special paper. That way the marker does not stain everything around the house. Crayola Color Wonder has been around for a while, but this year Crayola introduced scented color wonder markers and a scented color wonder stamping pad. Crayola sent me the new scented Color Wonder set to review and we loved it. Crayola’s new Color Wonder Scented Stampers. The scented ink in this set makes kids’ stamped images smell like chocolate. The five stamps are images of sweet treats: a cupcake, a lollipop, an ice cream cone, a donut, and a cookie. The stamped images will only show up on the special Color Wonder paper, not on furniture, clothing, or skin. A 12-page drawing pad of Color Wonder paper is included. Then use the five included Color Wonder markers, which also only work on Color Wonder paper, to color in your stamped designs. The markers are also scented to smell like cherry, blueberry, orange, lime, and banana.
What Comes in the Box?
Here is the back of the box showing all the contents. The set includes 5 scented markers; cherry, blueberry, orange, lime, and banana, 1 chocolate scented stamp pad, 5 stamp pads: donuts, lollipop, ice cream cone, cookie, and cupcake, 1 stamp holder, and 12 sheets of Color Wonder paper.
How Does It Work?
Color Wonder ink only reacts with color wonder paper. It appears clear at first and then the color transforms to whatever color was used. I used both markers and the stamp pad to color the page below. Any color wonder markers can be used with the set, but they will not be scented.
What Did I Think?
Color Wonder is really neat. It worked out really good because we had to take a road trip and it entertained him wonderfully. Here is one of the pages he colored. I think Color Wonder is worth it? Definitely, it is a great sensory activity for kids.
Crayola Palm Grasp Crayons & Jumbo Paintbrushes
My First Crayola Jumbo Paintbrushes and Washable Palm-Grasp Crayons. Both of these products, sold separately, are designed to be easier for toddlers and preschoolers to hold, giving them better control over their art projects. The Washable Palm-Grasp Crayons is a set of six egg-shaped crayons in red, blue, orange, purple, green, and yellow. These are ergonomically designed to be held by toddlers in the palms of their hands, allowing them to make their first broad strokes and colorful swirls. Each egg is the equivalent of 14 regular crayons. This set is for ages 12 months and up.
The Jumbo Paintbrushes is a set of three different types of brushes for three different textures. Each brush handle – yellow, red, and blue – is a chunky, jumbo size to be easy for small hands to hold. The textured brush tips offer a variety of colorful outputs, and the brushes wash clean with warm water. This set is for ages 36 months and up.
These sets are both great arts and crafts tools for the youngest artists, no matter what stage they are at. For beginner artists, the crayons are a great way to help toddlers scribble and express themselves while working with their natural palm grasp. Plus the egg shape of the crayons makes them a wonderful addition to an Easter basket.
Preschoolers will like getting creative with the paintbrushes to see what types of textures they can create with the different brush tips. All you need to provide is the paper and paint.
The My First Crayola Jumbo Paintbrushes set is for ages 36 months and up, while the My First Crayola Washable Palm-Grasp Crayons are for ages 12 months and up. These will be fun arts and crafts tools for young kids.
