If you are like me you have been doing a lot of traveling this summer. With long trips also comes the inevitable cranky child and the utterances of the words are we there yet.  In order to keep a child occupied you have to snacks, cd’s, books and lots of electronics with games on them to keep they involved.

Children love Disney Pixar Cars movie, so on our most recent vacation I downloaded the new Cars Daredevil Garage App to the iPad   (and my iPhone, because I knew his sisters would also want to play!) The Cars Daredevil Garage app is free and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This app is optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus.

The first thing we did was stop by Toys “R” Us to pick up some of the new Cars die cast toys. We were lucky enough to find the Hudson Hornet, and Green Ramone in the store. This is a great set of Die Cast Vehicles

Back in the car, we practiced the “change it up strategy” by opening a new car every 15 minutes to play with. Then real fun came with scanning the new Disney Pixar Cars Toys into the app and stunt racing through the courses!

This app is super fun, I am glad I loaded it to more than one iPad/iPhone, because all the children in the car wanted turns playing! You should be aware that this app does contain in app purchases to buy a second location (the backyard) and more cars. However children can also earn more cars by completing stunt courses or by scanning in their physical Cars toys.

To race the cars, children just choose a stunt course to race on and a car to race with. Very easy and lots of fun! The new cars toys and the Cars Daredevil Garage app kept everyone happy on this long trip.

This was great for our trips in the car, but on our way to our destination we heard that rain was in the forecast, and so we thought that this new app, cars, and track  would come in handy.

We were able to set it up on the floor of the house and have the kids just put the car on the track and shoot it around. If you are lucky enough to have Lightning McQueen hit the track just right, Frank is released from his barricade and comes after Lightning. It’s really a great toy, especially if your children are a fan of Cars. It made a rainy day a little bit brighter.
