When I started to renovate my kitchen, many people started to ask me what are the utensils that I have in my kitchen. Here are a few of the things that work for me. Utensils are my favorite things in the kitchen. There are so many items out there that make cooking easier. This is by no means an exhaustive list of what’s in my drawers, but it’s a good starts.
Bamboo Cutting Board
One main reason bamboo cutting boards have gained popularity in recent years is because they are almost maintenance free due to the hard density of the wood. This one from Good Cook is wonderful. Plus, without having to worry about wood scarring, your bamboo board should continue to look smooth and sleek for a long time. In addition, due to the resistance to absorbing water, bamboo is less likely to crack and split like regular wood boards. Bamboo also resists staining, which is often an issue with meats and acidic plants such as tomatoes. It’s always recommended to use proper hygiene methods to clean your bamboo cutting board by using hot water and soap or a dilution of bleach and water (1 tablespoon of bleach per gallon of water). I love it.
Ice Cream Scoop

Scooper is durable and can be used time and again with consistent results. an ice cream scoop should dole out the dairy with far less effort than it takes using a common spoon. The goal isn’t just to get the ice cream out—you can do that with a butter knife, or by jamming your face into the pint—but to do so with relative ease, and to mold it into a nice shape for your three-scoop sundae. A scoop allows you to serve consistently sized portions, avoiding the mash-up of ice cream shards and massive icebergs you get with a regular spoon. The bowl should release the payload without requiring an excessive amount of flicking, and it shouldn’t leave chunks of your ice cream clinging to it. Digging out ice cream can be hard work, so the handle has to be comfortable, too. This scoop was comfortable and created round balls of ice cream. It was easy to release and clean up was not a problem.
