I love hair accessories, and this summer’s hair accessories are back in full swing. From headbands, pearl hairpins, barrettes, flowers, bandanas, and headscarves are all on-trend. The headband is the number one hair trend accessory for this summer.
The knotted headband is back and very fashionable. All in all, headbands are even more elegant than seasons before. I was so happy to find Joie Di Da.
Joie Di Da is a handmade luxury headband brand that values joy, craftsmanship, and individuality. They are inspired by women who march to the beat of their own drum and use fashion as their platform for personal expression. Joie Di Da is a play on the French expression joie de vivre which means the joy of life. I wanted the name to evoke the stylish sophistication of Paris fashion in a playful way.
I am obsessed with their headbands and can’t tell you how comfortable they are.. They have so many styles and colors that you will not be able to choose. I knew that I wanted the VIOLETTA LAVENDER GINGHAM HEADBAND and the ESME COLORBLOCK HEADBAND – CLOVER. I am loving everything gingham this summer.
The founder started dreaming up Joie Di Da in the late summer of 2020. Like so many others, I found my daily life had changed due to Covid-19. My self-care routines like getting dressed up to go out and regular salon visits were put on hold. My short bangs were now in a constant state of too-long or completely uneven from a desperate DIY trim. Headbands were a lifesaver for me when I needed to get my hair out of my face and hop on a Zoom meeting. I started designing my own headbands when I realized a lack of high- quality headbands that came in fun colors, prints, and embellishments. The only high-quality colorful headbands I could find were mass produced and very expensive.
Buying yourself an accessory is special. It’s different from buying items you need like slacks and socks. Accessories are bought because you want them to help tell the story of who you are and what makes you unique. I want to help others tell that story by making headbands that are as unique as they are.
She has some very exciting plans for the future! I’m most excited about designing more headbands, growing my business to find ways to give back, and offering headband customization.
The most fashionable way to wear a headband is to match it with your outfit. Also, it is a great way to keep your hair out of your face.
