If you are like me mornings can be very hard. The weather in the area has continued to be cold and the snow continues to fall. It is not easy to be upbeat and to envision a time when the sun will shine and it will be warm again.
On Thursday, March 6, I got a wake-up call literally. Thanks to BSM Media I was able to attend an event for the lifestyle brand Life is Good. This event was held in one of the busiest areas of New York: Penn Station. A place where over 8,000 commuters pass through everyday.
You may have heard of Life is Good as a clothing line. Back in 1989, founders Bert and John Jacobs designed their firs tee shirt. The brothers who had no experience in the area continued to try and sell their tee shirts in the Boston area and to colleges. After a few years of trying to get it off and running they found little success. The brothers would not be deterred. They started to print tee shirts with Jake’s grin on it. This was the key, as simple as it was. The foundation of the company was formed, it was going to emphasize simplicity, humor and above all optimism.
The company has a two prong motto: spreading the power of optimism and helping kids in need by donating 10 percent of its net profits to the Life is Good kids Foundation. What better way for this brand to spread its good vibes that now entering the coffee market. The this lifestyle company has teamed up with J.M. Smucker’s Company the brand that is familiar in all households to bring a line of coffee that is made with 100% Arabica beans. The coffee will come in three smooth roasts and two unique flavors.
Happy Medium-A harmonious compromise of light and dark roasts crafted to help you find and savor a deliciously even state of mind.
S’Mores to Love-A rich campfire classic that features chocolate, graham cracker and fluffy marshmallow flavors.
Dark & Daring-A big and bold blend that knocks your socks off
Banana Bread Bliss-A surprising blend of bananas and brown sugar that delivers the comforts and coziness of home.
Light Hearted-A smooth, mild light-bodied taste that’s the perfect way to start the day.
What better way to introduce this product that at Penn Station, I watched a commuters stopped by after being on the train and dealing with the cold, frowns on their faces after tasting the coffee they had a change of hearts and those smiles began to appear. This was wonderful to see New Yorkers grinning and looking positive about starting out their days. The Life is Good Loft gave these New Yorkers a chance to win prizes by encouraging them to strike their best coffee poses and post their pics on Twitter and Instagram.
Life is Good retails for $7.99 for an 11 oz bag and is sold nationwide and at Lifeisgood.com
This is just the beginning of the good vibes for this company after speaking with Steven David of the company he stated that through these partnerships and the one that they are forming with Hallmark Greeting Cards Life is Good wants to be more than a clothing company it wants to be the Optimistic Brand. That brings smiles to households.
I want to give everyone a chance to experience this brand, just leave a comment about this post and you will be entered to win a Life is Good Coffee Gift Bag
Disclosure: I was compensated to attend this event, but the opinions expressed in this blog are my own
