On May 2, 2014, I was invited to a special screening of a new online network, named MomCave. This is network is for moms, and is hosted by the Ogilvy Working Parents Network.

Being a parent in today’s world is hard enough and you are going to faced with many challenges along the way. In the past when we were meet with challenges we would ask our family or friends, however, times have changed and we are connect to everything through the web, smart phones and tablets. Yet, even with all of these outlets it is still hard for mom to find time to watch all the that might be online to help with raising a child.

Enter MomCave it is a community of mothers that have gathered to tell their stories, both fictional and real, while keeping in mind that moms only have time to watch TV in two minute increments. The network’s content is free of charge, and will be closed caption for the hearing impaired.

MomCave TV hopes to bring all reviews a new and positive way of getting information across in a way that is both informative and comical at the same time, keeping viewers interested. Founded by three moms and a dad, Jennifer Weedon, Valisa Tate, Stephanie Faith Scott, and J. Sibley Law. They explained that MomCave TV grew out not only of a need to bring moms content that fit into their lives and schedules, but also portrays them in a more realistic and positive light.

With this in mind they have created four original web series:

SLUMMY MUMMY- was created and is starring co-founder Jennifer Weedon as Jen, a new mom who’s re-entering the workplace as a shoe model. However, she is finding it hard to pay her bills and keep up with the rich, upper class moms who share the neighborhood that she lives in. We also see Jen being tormented by her nemesis. It show allows you to see that sometimes you think you can have it all but it is not so easy.

DOUBLE LECHE-this is a series of humorous skits, starring Weedon, Tate and Scott depicted the awkward and funny moments in breastfeeding. It shows moments about how it is like to breast feed in public.

BLABBERMOM- this is were real moms tell real stories about what is like to raise children, and their serious and funny experiences in doing so.

MOMCAVE LIVE- this is an interactive and informative weekly show where the audience can interact with moms. They will also feature special guests from the blogger world and web series community.

These web series give moms a chance to catch up on things with their busy schedules. The goal is to make moms laugh and to allow us to give ourselves time to grow as moms and learn from each other.
