When I attended the Fashion Forward Conference, I was introduced to a new brand Dansko. They are a line of shoes and boots. The story behind this brand is wonderful. Husband and wife team Mandy Cabot and Peter Kjellerup were on a mission to find the perfect barn shoe, they needed footwear that could support their aching feet. Mandy and Peter discovered a clog in a shop in Denmark. They soon realized that these slip-ons were not only perfect around the farm. They loved them so much they couldn’t help but to share them with friends. Before long, Mandy and Peter were bringing dozens of pairs to the States. As this unique footwear grew in popularity, Mandy and Peter decided it was time to create a business—they called it “Dansko”, which translates to “Danish shoe.”

Dansko’s main goal is to provide shoes that are comfortable for you to wear everyday, so they went from clogs, to shoes and boots. The all-day support of Dansko has rescued the sore feet of healthcare professionals, teachers, and service industry workers alike. In fact, many of Dansko’s collections have the APMA (American Podiatric Medical Association) Seal of Acceptance.

Dansko sent me The Odessa boot to try. They retail for $199 and they are worth it. It is always hard for me to find boots that look good on me and that fit, since my feet are small. These boots fit perfectly. I wore them with tights and my jeans and they looked great. These knee high boots provide you the ultimate comfort. It has a luxurious nappa upper is complimented with two buckle closure. It is breathable leather lined interior and a lightweight outsole. You are going to love these boots.

The other shoe that I got to try was the Dansko wedge, now I never go for a wedge because they are so hard for me to balance on but these were perfect. This stylish and stable wedge features a leather covered front and you can go from day to night with these. It has an adjustable ankle strap for a contemporary look. It fits wonderful at the ankle and fits perfectly.It is soft and I had no issues walking in them. You are going to love them also.
