I was just introduced to this wonderful new product from Thames & Kosmos at the annual HoliDAY of Play Event. When first saw this product I completely fell in love with it. I always wanted to build animals and now I would have the chance.
With this kit you can construct an entire zoo of remote controlled animals with mechanical insides covered with plastic skins. Your kids can build one of eight animal models that move by remote control: an orangutan, a crab, a penguin, a Pteranodon, a rabbit, an elephant, a scorpion, and a Tyrannosaurs Rex.
This best part is that it moves like the real animals, can you just imagine that. The crab moves sideways, the elephant walks, the orangutan climbs and all the animals do their own special movement.
I love that this also allows the kids to learn. Being in education I love this idea that it is art of the STEM initiative. It encompasses science, technology, education and mathematics. Kids are learning how the technology goes into each model and makes them distinct.
The kit comes with 100 pieces, and all of them are high quality. Kids can build one of the animals or they can create their very own by mixing up the skins. Also, Thames & Kosmos did something else great they included a manual. This 36 page step by step illustrated manual teaches kids more than just how to build models. After each animal, there is an entire page dedicated to show kids how the animal looks like in real life and interesting fun facts.
This is a great educational toy for the holidays. It will give them hours of fun, joy, creativity and learning. Check out their products at Thames & Kosmos
