For the past 20 years, Target has partnered with some of the biggest names in the industry and introduced us to special spring collections. I can remember waiting for the launch of the executive Hunter, Lily Pultizer and, Jason Wu collections.
On May 16, 2021, the next collection will launch and I am so lucky that I got a chance to try it out before it hits the stores and online.
Get ready because Christopher John Rogers, Rixo and, Alexis are coming to Target as part of the designer dress collection series. These are going to sell out fast because not one piece is over $60. The collection will deliver more than 70 original pieces in bold, bright patterns and statement silhouettes. The must-have collection marks Target’s most size-exclusive limited-edition collection to date, with sizes ranging from XXS-4X.
Christopher John Rogers
Inspired by his Southern roots, 2020 CFDA American Emerging Designer of the Year. Christopher John Rogers’s imaginative, one-of-a-kind designs are geared toward individuals with a strong sense of self. These pieces embrace bold colors and elaborate details that bring unabashed self-expression. His expressive take on volume comes through in the silhouette of a floral babydoll with tiers of ruffles that are downright cute.
Alexis
Miami-based contemporary label, Alexis was already steeped in Americana, but co-founder Alexis Barbara Isaias’s beachy Target lineup represents how people shop now. Each piece compliments the other. The line highlights glamour, where tropical florals and maxi dresses offer vacation vibes year-round.
RIXO
Finally, best friends Orlagh McCloskey and Henrietta Rix of RIXO have created dresses that feature flattering silhouettes and eye-catching prints, all inspired by the duo’s love of vintage.
For many of us, capsules like Target’s are one of their first opportunities to experience the labels that we have only been able to love from afar.
