Growing up I always loved magazines, I would first get sports magazine, then fashion magazines, and then women’s magazines. I loved flipping through the issues at the beginning to the month. I would go through it first and look at the articles and pictures and mark what I wanted to look at more deeply. I loved the beautiful photos and the easy recipes.

One of my long time favorite magazines is Better Homes & Gardens. I have a subscription to it for years. I was so happy that they easily transferred my subscription when I moved, and I did not miss an issue.

I loved the recipes and home tips. It always had wonderful home organization tips and still does.

When I moved to Louisiana, I got a subscription to Southern Living. Southern Living does classic recipes like no one else. If someone wanted to be introduced to southern cooking, I would just hand them a copy. The recipes are written with great instructions and they’re easy to follow.

I recently got the October issue and the Holiday Crafts one. I found a bunch of decorating ideas that uses adorable pumpkins. I have never been good at pumpkin displays but I am hoping to do better. They also had a bunch of fall recipes. These pumpkins are going to help me with my Halloween display. I am so excited to try it all out.  They also have projects that you can do with the kids.

Better Homes and Gardens Magazine had a great article about Bucket List Ideas For Fall. It had wonderful ideas that most people can go out and do. This list fit most any budget, too. I liked the idea of going to an apple orchard and picking apples.

Purchasing the magazines at the checkout rack is very expensive. Buying them at full retail price would make buying one a real luxury. I don’t like to spend full price on magazines, so I look for great deals. I found a great deal at Magazine.Store
