It’s no secret that my Sloan ankle pants are closet staples, so when Petite Studio asked me to style one pair, I was more than happy to! I decided to do two business casual pairings in a fairly monochromatic color scheme, with different textures mixed in for interest. Outside of work, I love Sloan’s for everyday wear and travel, since they have a good amount of stretch for comfort but do not “stretch out”.
When I first saw this top, I thought it’d be a great little piece to wear either alone or layered. This top went perfectly with the Sloane pants. The fabric is light and airy crepe and I love that you can play with the adjustable ruched drawstring tie at front to flatter your curves. It is perfect for a summer day at work.
I also loved pairing it with a slinky blouse that drapes and feels similar to silk. This way when it gets cooler you can pair it with a long cardigan or blazer in a neutral shade like soft cream or a similar dusty blue. You could also have fun and use a pop of color. This gives you the girl boss look that you want to exhibit when entering a meeting or going out on the town.
The Fit: The trousers fit great when I put them on. The fact that I didn’t even need to shorten them is nothing short of amazing. After a scientific study, I can confirm to you that less than 1% of the trousers I have bought or worn did not need to be shortened. So this pleased me immensely.
The Quality: These are well made and I have worn them a few times since I got them and they held up great. Hand wash or dry clean.
I love these pants and it is worth the investment to have them in my closet.
