This was third year attending the Blogger Bash conference in New York. I am always excited to attend this event, I get to meet so many great people and connect with a lot of my blogger friends from around the country.
The breakfast was sponsored by Armitron and featured panel of moms who inspired us to do what we love and how we can all continue to grow. I was really inspired by what the panel had to say. Rebecca Dube of the Today show Parenting team talked about how want to work to create a real community where people can connect. This is so true, you have to have a community around you so that we can all succeed. It was an inspiring event.
The moderator, Lyss Stern
The panelists included:
- Bobbie Weichselbaum, EVP of Armitron Watches and daughter of the founder Eugen Gluck.
- Sara Roberts, creative services director at Elle Magazine
- Rebecca Cook Dube, head of TODAY Parents – Digital, and
- Olivia Jeanette, fashion and lifestyle blogger at OliviaJeanette.com
Babypalooza
After the panel breakfast it was time to check out Babypalooza. This is a great event and had some really awesome things for new moms and moms of babies/toddlers/early school aged children.
Here are a couple of thing that were part of my favorite things.
As we are preparing to move into the Fall season, and the cold season hits. I’m going to be armed with Oilogic to make the stuffy noses and tough to sleepies go away!
I also got a chance to speak with Kandi Burress of the Real Housewives of Atlanta and talk about her new line Raising Ace.
CE Week
The great people of Blogger Bash provided us with a private tour of CE Week, a tech show. There were so many booth and so much cool stuff to take a look at and I just had a few short hours to cover all of it. I met with companies that offered innovations in home security, home automation, entertainment, and even health and personal well-being products.
There was cool tech from Switchmate, JBL, Samsung, Harman, Kidde, remobell, Reliefband, Polaroid, Oomi, Fidget Tech, Strotter, Enblue, SureShot HD, and more.
Sweet Suite
Sweet Suite 2017 was brought to us by The Toy Insider – and it was filled with toys and sweets. This is the biggest night of play for us. During the four hour event, I got a sneak peek at the all the hottest toys coming this Christmas.
We were treated to a buffet style finger food dinner with some delicious desserts.
But taking main stage were all the toy companies and what they have in store for this upcoming holiday season.
From tots to teens – there was something for all ages, which I was really happy to see.
My kids are teenagers and it can be hard to find them gifts for the holidays.
I found some great options in 3D printing pens, games, virtual reality (so cool!) and more.
There was so much to see but I visited booths from Alex Brands, Zing, 3Doodler, Merge Virtual Reality, Mindware, Yum Earth, Winning Moves Games, Sunny Days Entertainment, and so many more.
The Toy Association Breakfast
The last day of Blogger Bash started off with a trip to the Toy Association’s office to talk about toys and toy safety.
Stuff for Moms and Dads Expo
The final event was the CPE Stuff for Moms and Dads Expo. While there weren’t as many brands here as other events, I took full advantage of getting to know the items that were showcased. I spent three hours learning about things that were going to make my life as a mama better so I could be more for my kids. Interestingly enough, my favorites all had a good fitness/wellness spin to them:
Laguna Blue – The Smarter Towel – would be a great addition to our summer routine.
Touchpoints are a cool new technology to help with anxiety and stress. These bands help calm the fight of flight feeling!
The one product I got to take home with me was a pillow from Snuggle-Pedic. I’ve been sleeping on this “Ultra-Luxury Kool-Flow® bamboo shredded memory foam pillow” since getting back to my own big bed (again, more on that later!) and have had some really great nights of sleep!
If I got selected to attend again next year, you’d better believe I’ll be be there! Blogger Bash NYC is my favorite blogging event – and not just because we are super spoiled with things like the swag box that ships to our homes. The coordinators are awesome, the event space is incredible, and the brands are ready and willing to showcase the best of their best. It’s a win-win for everyone.
If you’re on the fence about a blogging conference in 2018, don’t think twice – add BBNYC to your list of musts!
