Last week we went to see The Gazillion Bubble Show in New York City. If you have not heard of the show, you should check it out. Created and performed all over the world by the Yang family. The show is pure delight for kids and adults alike. The tickets are between $45-$65, it is well worth it when you see the look on everyone faces
Not knowing what to expect when we walked in, we found that we had great seats that had a great view of the stage. When we located our seats we noticed that right in front of us is the stage where children were having their photos taken inside a giant bubble. We walked up to see what was going on.
It was $20 to get your picture taken in the bubble. When they finished taken the picture they brought it to our seats. Before the show began, the stage lit up and the bubble-blowing started. Once the show started, Ms. Yang the bubble artist for this show and at a young age was a great performer. The expressions on her face were initially her sole interaction with the audience wand she proved the master of silent communication. I enjoyed watching her create a range of complex floral shapes multiple tiny bubbles inside enormous bubble. She even danced between bubble tubes made by gigantic bubble wands.
Two television monitors on either side of the stage gave the audience different views of Ms. Yang’s artistry providing full visualization of her craft. I was memorized by the bubbles, engaged by the performance, enthralled by the lights and it was all really cool. We loved it all.
